Thats a hell of a lot of mods. Maybe one of those is causing it. Why don't you delete some of them that you don't use much, to avoid a system overload. Also, does this problem happens any other time (not mages guild related?)

So your saying you playing oblivion with a nvidia 9800 GT with many hd graphics mods installed and in 1680x1024 and you get 60 fps outside? Hmm i find that hard to believe unless my card is faulty, anyway i decided to buy a 1GB RADEON HD 5870, thanks for the replies.

I have one word for you: UN. BLEEPING. FAIR!!!! Really, can I (steal) borrow your computer (or whoever's it is)? Forever? The game's gorgeous... Makes me wish my computer could run this game (it would likely explode if I so much as touch the game disk). All the same, really great shots! What mod is that?

No, not part of the Vanilla game (or the Xbox 360 version) you don't. If you really want it and you're using the PC version as I assume you are, do the following; 1.) Open the console by pressing the (~) key, right above the TAB key. 2.) Type coc testinghall and press enter. 3.) Find the door that says "Clothing Warehouse" and the amulet should be located inside. Well I have a 9800GT 1200MB and I get 60 fps at the lowest. If you really can't achieve good fps with a card as good as that, then try this one.

I just used the contruction set so that Midas sold all his own spells, NEVER USE PSB it will make the game run incredibly slow when going through the spell list.

You have an infrared remote receiver plugged into your computer, that's what is causing the conflict. You could take the time to figure out what the infrared remote receiver is, or a quick fix would be to download this mod.

while what you stated IS true. the graphical superiority of oblivion makes the forests look fantastic. not to mention the much improved combat system in oblivion. both have their beauty. while morrowind was more "shadow of the beast" style graphics. oblivion really is stunning on a good system. (which many people don't have). that will remain stunning even years to come.
