High Def Camcorder questions.

Worried about it? I have absolutely NO IDEA what you just said, let alone whether or not I should be "worried," dude. Edit: Okay, I think I got it now. Theres also a cheaper card on newegg for about $90, but I would go with the BlackMagic. I've never used a capture card with HD...

If you're worried about that the Hauppauge HD-PVR rips games at 1080i over component input with full res. The bitrate is pretty good to boot. We're hoping to line up a review of it this month if things go well.

How much are you wanting to spend on it, and are you willing to go used (off ebay)? Since your just going to be doing some instructional video and simple stuff (not making short films), you might want to look into a flash or hard drive based camera. The biggest draw back with these are they have to compress the video a lot so it will take a pretty powerful computer to edit and convert the video...

It's also a flash player so you can load those random flash games onto although most suck anyway. Video playback is good as well. AMOLED screen that looks great from any angle ...
