Luckily the snow is optional. For one: It lags coming down for me, secondly, it only shows up if you have Celes Theme up. With a forum like this with it's white backround, having the snow affect is not a good idea especially since the only time you'll see it is if it passes through the forum trophy thing on the bottom Mnmfan put. All in all, good in theory with the snow affect but hardly needed and seen 90% of the time and if...

Another way would be to use a friend's PS3 with your HDD. I'm a complete dumber when it comes to PCs, not even sure what an enclosure is

Ya gotta sync the trophies online within PSN. I forget how exactly... I think I had to sign in on my computer to do it. Google is your friend for that. Also, a good point was mentioned about buying an external drive and swapping the drives. They also sell kits that come with a h/d and a case for the one you take out of the PS3. External cases alone seem to be pretty pricey unfortunately. May not be worth it for a small drive like that.

So it's finally December, and Christmas is only a few weeks away, so I decided that the forum should get jazzed up a bit to fit with the occasion. It's only a couple little additions; one is the 'snow' feature. Just above slumpy monkey's header on the right are two options: "Show Holiday Spirit!" and "Be a Grinch!" Choosing Holiday Spirit makes little dots of snow fall on the forum, and Be a Grinch...

If you go to the settings menus in the xmb there is a backup option. You will need a sizeable flash drive or external hard drive to do this and it will copy and compress everything on your hard drive to the back up medium. Then you put the new hard drive in and go to the restore option. It will then replace everything it backed up.

Sounds like your console has packed in. I'm afraid I don't have the Sony UK number on me (try Googling it). If you want to cling onto your save data, you could check if your HDD is still working, and this can be done by placing it into a friend's PS3. New or used, it sounds like it could be the disc as it was made... with a defect. I always try used games out to be sure it works. In your case you wouldn't know until you got to that point. Did you buy it from a retail store as used, or from a private seller?

Now that game development is getting serious and advanced it seems most companies/publishers/developers can't handle it. To be honest I can't expect lucasarts to have any AAA titles soon. This is also depressing. I know have even more reason to live in the negative zone..
