In my case it is crashing only in dx9 with ultra settings, game probably wanna use dx10 features in dx9. Are you using dx10?

Renmaing alone did not help me, but perhaps you were already runnig in dx10 and that combination (dx10 + renaming) does the trick. I don't have SLI - but I imagine it sucks when you can only use half your graphics power. Set all that aside: I just finsihed the demo and wow! I am really looking forward to the full game, that was very intense world exploration and combat. Full of graphical wonders and a really large level without...

** Update 3 ** After the epic fail I moved my computer back to my 52" LCD and the set up runs fine!!! WTF? It doesn't detect my 3D display but at least the set up runs! Well I went back and started trying the BETA drivers to see when the problem began. 195.62 WHQL (CD v1.17) 2009.11.26 = 3D Ready display not found. 195.55 BETA (CD v1.16) 2009.11.18 = 3D Ready display not found. 195.39 BETA (CD v1.15) 2009.10.30 = Setup completes, working. 190.62 WHQL (CD v1.11) 2009.07.29 = Setup completes, working. This lines up with what many others have experienced. CD v1.17 and CD v1.16 do not detect displays properly....

Nvidia's reply does not suggest they are dumping DLP and CRT as they are listed on the 3D vision requirements html in my last post, but it certainly indicates unequivical incompetence within the 3D Vision driver team and its management.

What's perplexing is that this bug was reported for CD 1.16 but it promptly happens again in CD 1.17. In that light, should an user start to look at it in a more sobering way or keep patiently bending over?

I would definitely send this report to Nvidia customer care or use the feedback link on my post since officially this forum is not on their radar and is only for user-to-user support. But yep the frustration level is high when dealing with a driver's failure of providing the most basic expected feature that we paid for. The time wasted on the start of a holiday season's weekend: priceless ...

Thta's really odd, I really don't have a clue. I would reinstall those drivers using driver sweeper and do a clean install or maybe roll back to teh older drivers.

I also had this problem but I managed to fix it by swapping the usb port again. Also, I unplugged the 3d vision glasses which were charging at the time before it finally worked.. Maybe that had something to do with it also

Wrong Wrong Wrong! I have the Nvidia product and the Tri-Def glasses and let me tell you I play MKV's 1080 on the Tridef all the time and it adds great depth to the movie. I am not saying all movies look great but dont think you cant get a OMG experience out of the tridef player. I watched Beowolf with the Tri-Def glasses and the depth was amazing!.
