anyone needing new bbsc pulley
Published (2009-11-26 16:07:00)
I'd guess a couple hundred per pulley? I had a pulley machined down from 4.1 to 3.71 for under $100.. First thing is finding a place to do it. I do have one spare pulley which i beleive is a 6psi non aftercooled setup. The methanol shouldn't make a difference in pulley size.. WHen you have the car tuned, i'd have them do a non methanol tune in case you run outta the go-juice. my car tuned out at 8.5psi 405rwhp with no methanol....

While mounting the pump above the fluid level will work (sort of) it will cause problems and shoud be avoided. In short DO NOT do it.

AFR Lean conditioned alarm...
Published (2009-11-20 02:21:00)
Hi hope the title is not confusing as the question. I have a MXL display with optional alarms lights, I want to establish an AFR lean alarm, I have the option of conditioning this alarm of other readings so it won't come on when the lean status is not dangerous to the engine, my question what will be the best conditioning reading for the AFR alarm? TPS, engine load, engine speed (RPM) or this alarm can not be conditioned? Please advice...

So would you think that an add on control such as the AEM be required for the high-boost setup?

anyone needing new bbsc pulley I have the octaganol (hexagonal?) center punch tool used for making bbsc pulleys. I don't really need one at this time, but can probably find a machinist to make new ones using a circular blank aluminum block. The center punch is probably the most labor intensive issue, so this takes care of that....

Anthony, I have passed smog test twice at test only center with flying colors at two random locations when I had CTSC. Don't worry about it, just do it. If DMV asked, just show them the sticker that came with the kit. The new owner of my NSX was concerned about passing smog and he asked me "Jason, will it pass?" as DMV asked him to get smog test done in order to register the car. I said ...

Opinion? Yeah, I got one of those! I run a BBSC on my 95, no intercooler, no meth, 384hp on a Dynopack. I enjoy it immensely as it fixes the power issue for the most part and is basically a bolt-on. I feel that it is an easy way to get to about 400hp. That's about it as far as what I believe that the design parameters were (but MB can speak to that if he wishes) and it's potential is for ...

The ESM is just a signal modifier that tricks teh MAP sensor so the ECU keeps working under boost. It is not a replacement for EMS. Cheers, AR

We recommend an engine management system to be used. In Comptech's testing, they found that the high inlet temperatures caused by the supercharger causes the factory ECU to retard ignition timing. The concern is that with the lower temperatures and greater cylinder pressure, the factory ECU will not retard ignition timing. We've tuned our intercooler/aftercooler with both AEM EMS and F/IC with ...
