Read/Write data From/To FPGA -...

Hi there, A simple one: I have a RT application where I transfer small amounts of data (around 1Kb) between 5 FPGAs (7813R) and a microprocessor (8106RT) at high speed (2KHz). The data is used to implement a closed loop control system, so I really ned new data available in the uP each 500us. Ideally for the stability of my system I would need to do all the reading, processing and otputs writting in less than 100us. DMA FIFOS...

Merci pour votre réponse. A force de chercher et de faire plusieurs manips sur mon programme LabView, j'ai fini par le résoudre en début d'après-midi. Je dois avouer que je ne suis pas sûre de savoir précisément d'où venait le problème...

Sorted! Thanks to a posting here http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=384602&query.id=1047536#M384602 by Wayne.C his vi at http://forums.ni.com/ni/attachments/ni/170/385182/1/Alternate%20MB%20CRC-16.vi did the trick. Replaced the table in this vi with the one generated from my code posted earlier and removed the swap Bytes on output of For loop and bingo!! Many thanks to all who posted info...

cRio not recognized on Windows...
Published (2009-11-23 13:05:00)
A common issue with laptops is that they use the primary network card(almost always wireless) to detect the cRIO through Measurement & Automation explorer. If the bridged does not work, try disabling your wireless and try again. If this allows you to detect the cRIO, then you should go to control panel->network devices->advanced->Advanced settings and reorder your network devices to have your wired connection at...

That community example was just posted by the support engineer that I am currently working with . I have looked at that knowledge base article but unfortunately the sampling delay offset is not consistent from one run to the next . The variation in the timing is shown on the scatter plot from my OP . I am just using cDaq running labview on WinXP . I figured some of the people with real-time experience may have had better knowledge of...

RIO hangs when using web server...
Published (2009-11-27 09:23:00)
Sorry if i was not clear...By hang, i mean sometimes a total crash (no more tcp, web server and application stopped), sometimes just the network stopped, and the application recover when i close all networked tasks. It happens whenever i launch the remote panel first, or the data logging STM connection first. Looking at the processor load with the distributed system manager, i saw that my application alone shows only 25%. So i don't...

Vincent, By hang I assume you mean that the host loses communication and pops up a dialog along those lines? What steps do you have to take to get out of that state? If I understand correctly, just the tcp communication or just the web server is fine indefinitely. Is simply having the webserver enabled enough to cause the hang or do you have to be interacting with it? If ...

Hi, Which error did you exactly get? Are you programming LV FPGA or LV RT? Here is one KB explaining single-cycle timed loop: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/722A9451AE4 E23A586257212007DC5FD? OpenDocument Regards Franjo

Hi, First, excuse me for my English. I have the same problem as Mike. I'm working with VPN and I try to download for FTP, with Internet Toolkit, but the program can't download the file. With Filezilla I haven't any problem. And if I work with local LAN, I haven't any problem. It seems that labview can't download the file, there is expiration time on the download. They connect to FTP ...

Hi, Is it safe to assume you've taken a look or are using this community example ? Additionally, Have you also taken a look at this KnowledgeBase article ? Finally, since you posted this the Real- Time Measurement and Control forum- are you using cRIO or a Real-time opperating system? If you're just using cDAQ, then I would recommend putting this in the Multifunction DAQ ...

Well, you need to have a look at the examples. Have you programmed in FPGA and RT? Make sure you describe the challenge you are facing otherwise it is very hard for us to intepret the problem.

What version of NI RIO do you have installed? You need to make sure that you have NI RIO 3.2.1 . installed on both the development system and the cRIO itself for LabVIEW 2009

Hi Jack, This isn't something I've seen before but I would be more than happy to look into the issue with you, do you have the C code example you mention or the CRC type you are attempting under LabVIEW? Also which LabVIEW VI have you been using that gives you a different CRC result so I can take a look? Thanks,

Howdy, You can use the NI Scope Driver on LabVIEW Real Time Systems, but your scope card may not be compatible with LabVIEW Real Time. You will need to see the NI-Scope Readme for more information.
