Isn't it a bit early for the rainbows to color up? It was also very cold. Water temp barely broke 40 degrees if that. My thermometer only goes down to 40. Air temp was in the mid 20's for the longest time.

Thanks, works right below the dam at SC also, thrown right up against the dam wall and drifted between the concrete piers. weg

Nice looking rainbow(s) ! I never made it out to the Ami today. Yard was finally dry and I had to get all the leaves up before the next rain Glad you were able to make it out and hook. P.S. That is a huge grouper.

Thanks for the compliment but I'm far from good. I just lots of cool stuff hanging off my vest which makes me fish better (chuckle chuckle). I still thank the Lord that Dukes is a free and public resource we can enjoy. It is awsome. I sure am glad we got on there Wednesday. This rain is killing me right now even though I love Dukes in this kind of weather. Glad to hear how good Smiths was to you. I can't wait to spend a whole day up...

Another Dukes/Smith 12/16/09 Report Like Hollis, my buddy and I were also at Dukes yesterday. Unlike Hollis, he and I did not find success on the clear cold waters of Dukes Creek. Born and raised in Chatsworth, love the Cohuttas. Lots of folks on this board dismiss the area in general as marginal and unproductive. Oh well... I'm assuming you are certain that you were fishing a year-round stream, right?

makes me wonder about Smith's on Sat. Probably not surprising with the Hooch blown down this way. Where've you been by the way? I intend to make it to Dukes a couple of times over the Christmas break.

Fished Steel Bridge today and brought 15 to hand in about 3 hours. The water clarity was fine and the river was up a little bit but not too high to wade. You should be fine for tomorrow. In my opinion I like fishing Steel Bridge better than at 53. Drew
