Week 13: Bucs @ Panthers
Published (2009-12-06 11:47:00)
Well fellas, our chances to win this game just got better. Just heard on ESPN2 that DeAngelo Williams is inactive. That's a huge blow, and now we just have to worry about Jonathan Stewart. While he's a beast on his own, it's an easier task to try and contain just one guy.

Will Caddy be back in 2010?
Published (2009-12-04 21:24:00)
You know, he is not playing that well. We can put the blame on the offensive line, but certainly they are not the only to be held responsible for the lack of an effective rush. But Cadillac Williams gotta be resigned even so... Mind you everyone, that after such big injuries, Caddy is still probably recovering. He may or may not get better in the future. If he recover completely, he might be as explosive as he used. So let's keep him, he...

Game of the year
Published (2009-12-05 22:15:00)
Just for the record, Ndamukong Suh has 3.5 sacks tonight...with 12 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. I don't see how he doesn't go #1 overall.

Now throwing the season to get Suh sounds a lot better. I really think he will be a star in the NFL. Great at pursuing the run, even better at getting to the QB, and he never gives up on the play. He seems to always make tackles down the field.

Doug Willimas on the way out?
Published (2009-12-04 16:06:00)
Rumors are picking up that Bucs Director of Pro Personnel Doug Williams may be fired at the end of the season. The scouting has been lacking for quite a while and Williams could take the fall for that. He had some good hits championing Josh Johnson and Antonio Bryant. But overall has not developed the kind of talent we have in the past, or the kind of talent we need. Williams is certainly one of the more celebrated players in Tampa history...

We just gave Olson an extension. Which I really don't agree with at all. If you want to keep him for Freeman's development, then fine, but wait until the offseason to give him an extension because it's not like he was going anywhere during the middle of the season. I still have serious questions about our lack of a run game.

Wow, I love it. Resigning those guys seems necessary. We have so many holes across this roster, that I see no need to open other ones by losing these guys.
The draft is great. I love McCoy, and I agree that teaming him with Roy Miller would give us a heck of an interior line for the future. His motor is ridiculous, and he is a real force.
Golden Tate, with the way he's played this ...

Over all i give It a B+.
But i dont see lovie smith here next year.
i like the resigns[key players]
i also like the FA's.
But instead of a T, i think we need an SS.
[In FA's]
Draft is great. but dont know if Tate will be there 2b.
but over all well done!

Still 6 games to be played so nothing is written in stone yet. The Browns have two very manageable games on their schedule with the Raiders and Chiefs. Rams have the Texans, Bears, and the Cardinals left that are some what winnable. I'd be stretching if I count TENN and San Fran but there's a possibility the play spoilers.
But yeah, if we pick #3 we might lose out on both McCoy and Suh....

Well, Hovan is not playing well and Sims is garbage. Imagine Wilfork and Suh, rotating with Miller and (Dre) Moore. I would love it. But since we have Miller and Moore, I think we will draft Berry anyway, Suh is probably going to the Browns

The thing's i want to see.....
-Continued pass rush and ability to stop the run, I dont want the bash brothers to kill us as they have the last 2 times they've played us....
-Josh to continue building. He had a great game last week, if only Olsen didnt go all conservative, he could have had some really impressive numbers
-AB to show up again, it was refreshing to see!

He seems to rise to the occasion late in the game. he was clutch against MIA and GB. I'm still po'd that he didn't get a chance to work some 4th quarter magic against ATL on that series we missed the 51 yarder.

I think we should go WE/DE with our 2 second round picks. Stylez, Crowder, Bennett is a decent rotation at LE and our pass rush has improved over the weeks.

Don't like it.
Ogunleye will be 33 next year and is washed up for the Chicago Bears. Jolly is decent at best not a huge upgrade over Hovan and Sims. Owens isn't coming here at all. The Bucs had a chance to get him this past season and we had no interest what so ever. What makes you think we will all of sudden just want him after he's a 1 yr older?
Berry is a special prospect ...

Agreed.
Even though this was not the season any of us were expecting, if we can get anything close to a fair deal with him he needs to be kept. He looked good today, and without him our receiver core sucks leaving JF's only good options being Stroughter and Winslow. Leaving even a bigger hole we got to adress come draft time.
