Allen Bailey?

Well since he's an UT, what would our D-line look like? Would we move Seymour (I'm assuming we resign him) inside to the nose and kick kelly back to DE? Ellis - Seymour - Bailey - Kelly?

3-4 defense coming to Oakland?
Published (2009-12-03 11:55:00)
Although I was pretty outspoken vs the 34 the idea has actually grown on me. In Fa there are players who could fill the correct spots and fill them well. Also we could save money on resigning one of our most expensive players, in Howard. In FA we could add Antwan Barnes Ryan Pickett Larry Foote Add in if we draft a rush linebacker, like Hughes, in the draft we could have a very nice defense. Also Norwood, Miller and Kindle are all good OLB...

Normaly I would say we had a chance because of the win vs Cincy who's defense is very close statistically to Pitt's this year, but the fact that the game is at Heinz Field makes it that much tougher. If this game was at hom I like our chances much better. Big Ben is a go and we need desperately for the D to step up and get to Ben and give the Offense a chance. We ran the ball fairly well against the #2 run defense, but abandoned it...

Allen Bailey?

I haven't been paying attention to college football this year, so I don't know all the prospects. But how is Bailey against the run? He looks like he is pass rushing UT, we need a big body who can stop the run.

I think Howard shouldn't play in 3-4...way too small and weak
Kirk could play ILB IMO
Scott, Ellis could be OLB's
What would we do with Shaughnessy in a 3-4...he is starting put it together at 4-3 DE...same with Richardson...
Alton and Ricky Brown would be non factors in 3-4 just like Howard...maybe Sam Williams could be successfull in a 3-4 at OLBor rather ILB

Quote: Davis will attempt to trade for a Pro Bowl-caliber quarterback so that the Raiders have a better chance of making the playoffs next season. In turn, Russell will get more time to work on his shortcomings

Tom Cable is not head coaching material.
He's not suited well for the play calling duties, and can't find creative ways to utilize our most dynamic players on the field. He should stick to what he does best, and that's coaching up the Offensive Line.

with this team i solidly believe we could go 9-7 and make playoffs. Run the ball would be the motto. Take up possesion time, and the defense would be too good to get scored on.

Its a sad truth but you are correct. I thought he drafted Dmac because it would be the splash that we needed with a big time college name that did it all. He had speed, he had tons of success, 2 runner-ups in the heisman, he was simply awesome in college. Plus we just drafted Jroc and needed someone to help lighten the load (even though we had Bush and Farg).
I think that when Al ...

I like all the moves except periloux,he is a repeat of russell, strong arm and great ability but terrible work ethic and bad attitude,we need a proven commodity at qb not anymore of these boom or bust players, also no way will spikes be available in the 2nd.also i would rather have jason campbell thaN clemens, and instead of picking 2 cb's how about another d-line/o-line instead
