Ill try and help.. here are some off the top of my head. Hope im doing this right Was Hank Aaron a better bat then Babe Ruth? (comparing MVP's) Is Albert Pujols better then Dustin Pedroia? It is a bit interesting, and I have a few thoughts on the issue. First, it seems not even the Yankees can afford to throw money away in this financial environment. Second, neither Abreu nor Pettitte is worth anywhere near $16M, so it seems to be the right decision. Third, for those reasons, I doubt it has TOO much to do with stadium costs. It's a hugely expensive stadium, but they're only paying for about 40% of the cost. I'm...

Geez, I had to look back all the way to Page 14 to find this thread! The best fans in baseball should have their own thread on the first page to discuss the best team in baseball. It was kind of interesting reading back through some old posts regarding the Cardinals. Nobody thought the Weaver trade was a good idea. The Braves have just made a big deal to pick up Mike Gonzalez and though this leaves a hole at 1st base, as we learnt this season a hole at 1st is better than a hole in the bullpen.
