That clip isn't available seperately, usually when that comes out something inside the viscous coupling wasnt too happy and thats why it got pushed off like that. But good luck though! A new center diff is like ~$500

Was there any fluid leaks? Also lift the car up and inspect the wheel bearings they can make some interesting noises, good luck

Not absolutely sure but I think the 08+ sti and spec b 6 speeds lack the worm gear cut on the main shaft for the speedo gear, you might have to rig a hall type sensor.

Try subaru genuine parts for brand new axles. Millennium auto usually has good used parts. They got me two used 05 STi rear axles for pretty cheap that were in great shape. They are both vendors on NASIOC.

It's your driving habits that caused the problem. Different lube may help improve the situation but it won't fix the root cause of the problem, worn synchronizers. Learn to double clutch and follow the maintenance schedule for fluid change.

Okay, so over the last 2-3 days randomly my car decides it doesnt want to go into first gear at all.. Meaning I have to almost man-handle force the shifter to go into first gear.. Assuming it allows the car to go into first gear, its a bit sticky trying to get the lever out of first and into second.. Today, I had a new issue.. the car wouldnt let me go into first OR second at all. After ...

Uncle Scotty's cocktail simply rocks. I changed trans fluid from the Redline to the cocktail about 3.000 miles ago and the diff is noticeable. Shifting the car is effortless, there's no more grinding and the down shifts are almost a natural. After driving her for 48,000 miles, she's the most enjoyable since the cocktail was poured. DO IT!!! For those of you who haven't done this to your trans, ...

Subaru once installed a clutch on my 98 Leggy, and the catch point was so far at the top. I had them adjust it... Whatever they did, the petal would stick to the floor and I had to pull it up with my foot. lol Just turned around and had them undo what they did... Soon after I got my WRX TO answer your question... I havn't a clue...

Yes, a tune is not a requirement for a trans swap. Do you have the trans in right now?

I bought the car used 7 months ago with 16,000 miles on it. There were no issues on the [lengthy] test drive. The only thing noted about the tranny is that shifting was very notchy. Around two months after I bought it, I changed the fluids, engine, tranny and rear diff. Engine was Mobil-1 5w-30 synthetic, tranny and rear diff were Redline 75w-90 NS. Around a week after these changes, I...
