Yeah, having the weight of the hub on the end really helps to compress that circlip and ram it in. I do what you described every time.

No, you do NOT need to bleed the clutch, only if you open the clutch fluid lines.

No. It's really no stronger than stock. The only thing that saves it are the shorter ratios.

A shorter throw will feel notchier and stiffer than a standard throw because you've decreased your amount of leverage. I think you might just be fooling yourself as it's very unlikely your car changed noticeably at all in two days. Perhaps the fluid needs to get stirred around the trans and synchros after sitting a bit, but that would be it. Also if it's cold out, the shifts will seem worse....

Flywheels can be machined, but if it has some deep purple spots, it "may" be better to replace it. The friction disk does most of the wearing, but late in life, the wear generates heat in the flywheel & pressure plate. The pressure plate springs lose tension over time. I usually replace the flywheel every 2 times I replace the complete clutch. I do new TO & pilot bearings when doing the ...

Can you swap the clutch? I know the 06-07's were push style whereas the 02-05's were pull style. Are the 08-10's push or pull. You'll need to verify that. EDIT: ACT is showing the same unit from 06-09 so I'm guess ing it's a push style also. I know this doesn't answer your question, but it's something to consider when costing everything. I also know that Andrewtech and DS1 have ...

How long has it been like this? What does it look like. I've always caught mine early and the joint was not dry and I got away with just a boot replacements for about $30 bucks in parts and an hour of my time. If the joint is all dray and dirty, you can try just fixing the boot, but it's probably pretty worn already.

See the Uncle Scotty's cocktail thread. I have not heard anything good about Mobile1 in our trannys. If you are going to put a cocktail in use one that many other people have used for many thousands of miles.
