Do you have a boost gauge? Are you hitting any positive pressure at all?

You could even go all out and switch wiring going to the ISCV and just plain shut the ****er off when you feel like it. I can only imagine the cool things that will happen.

The pictars ain't workin, but I've seen accessory belts come apart from the tensioner seizing. Mine did that, shredded the belt, dug a hole in the timing belt cover, and very nearly destroyed my timing belt on my freshly built motor

I met up with the guy and got the turbo/wastegate/dumptube/up-pipe/wheels and tires today. Nice 6 hour drive... lol. I'm still undecided on what I want to do about the turbo. I'll probably put it up for sale. If it sells, then awesome, I'll buy a better fit turbo. But if it doesn't sell by the time I have injectors, fuel pump, hoses/clamps, ebcs, and money for a tune then I'll most likely throw it on there for ****s...

Have you checked the throttle linkage? Push down on the throttle body levers and make sure they're all the way down. If the cables are too tight it can leave you throttle slightly open creating higher idle RPM.

I was changing the oil on my '05 92x (which is at ~46k now) and noticed little scraps of stringy rubbery material sitting on the underbody skidplate thing. I then looked up through the engine bay and saw that frontmost timing belt was split in two! It looks like there are two mini belts alongside each other instead of one! What?? Your "tuner" is on something. I'm pretty sure that VF43 is just an upgraded version of a VF39. There shouldn't be ANY fitment issues, it's a direct bolt on. As far as the boost goes... again, what?? I had my VF34 runing 18psi on a stock TMIC for about a year till I upgraded. Please do yourself a favor and find a new "tuner".

evo III 16G is touted as the best balance of power / spool for the 2.0. But personally, if you're really only planning on using this turbo for 6-12 months before upgrading to a hybrid build, I would just go with a used VFxx turbo and save yourself a boatload of cash.

Well, I would try and not drive through very deep snow because if too much snow is piled up on the fmic, then it will not be cooling the turbo because it blocks the airflow. I don't know if there is really much you can do, other than avoid deep snow and pull over once in a while to clean out the snow from the front of your intercooler.

No idea on your car, but my 2002 is running 90% duty cycle on the injectors at stock boost and 9.5:1 AFRs. I'd gather than 15 PSI would put you well past that if you don't have a tune. So, unless you have a cable and RomRaider, and know how to tune your car yourself, then I would recommend you turn your boost down to 13 PSI and leave it there.

Okay so i go for a re-tune with 650cc injectors. Still a rough idle and stalls on warm startups. I rechecked for boost leaks and theres none. I am also limited to 7psi of boost though im running a ball-spring/bleed type MBC. is there a connection between a rough idle (p0171) and limited boost 7psi?? could sensors limit boost? my tuner says my IWG diaphragm could be torn. but wouldnt that...

Yes, you should be.. Usually, if that oil pressure lamp comes on while you are driving, it is telling you that it is time for a new shortblock.. It comes on when you have close to no oil pressure left. And since you kept driving when it came on..... How often do you check your oil?
