If it is coaxial, the tweeter sits in the center of the speaker and can't be removed, just angled. If it is a component set, the tweeter is fully removable. Most component sets should come with a crossover too. And since you have a separate spot allocated for a tweeter already, the stock system is a component set (a very crappy one at that). And no I am not affiliated with Focal, it's just what I happen to use in my wagon. Focal...

Sure, that would be great! Especially different angles of the sub harness behind the HU. Plus the other end at the speaker, if you were planning to open that up. Are the sub wires part of your aux harness? I don't think I have a shot of the entire rear of the HU. If it's different from the one in this post , then I could use the front and label too. Several angles of the satellite antenna plug would be helpful -- people keep trying...

Any amp even the cheapies are decent nowadays. Most of the cheap ones are just ripoff designs of the big boys...or vice versa Any 4 awg kit is gonna do the job for you. If you want to go cheap www.knukonceptz.com Their wiring is amazing, but their fuse blocks are a bit so so.

Ones that will fit the cutout diameter of those speakers. Duh! Seriously, there are only a few out there to choose from.. kartboy whom I love, and IAP. Oh wait there is a guy on subaruforester.org (sea-scooby) that will make you custom ones up to 3/4" thick any cutout you need... If the first two dont work, then you know who can.

there is a way to do this... i'm like 90 percent certain. I saw a mod on scooby mods not long ago that has you solder on an aux cable to the headunit. then insert cd with a really long track of silence (NOT A BLANK CD) put on repeat and you are gold. now let me see if i can find it...

Before going any further, here is the layout of the system: Stock headunit (can't really be removed), signal for the front intercepted before the Bose amp, which goes into dual Zapco SLB-U simblink transmitter/line drivers (via BTL) to boost the voltage and give me sub volume control, the signal is then fed into two Zapco DSP6 units, one controls the front stage, one controls the subwoofer (I...

Check for a short in the wire, i experienced this issue a while ago, turns out one of the screws holding in the spacers had slightly punctured one of the speaker wires causing an occasional short. Make sure the speaker lines arent pinched coming out of the amp, running through the car (however you ran them), going into the door (if you ran new ones) and in the door itself.
