Jason Voorhees: PeePeeHead: Although I agree with bearing arms as a right. I have trouble seeing its modern day application. With the amount of money we spend on the military and the fact that we have police seems to change the climate. I think the founding fathers envisioned it's citizens being fairly useful individuals that at a moments notice could grab their guns and fight off and invading force and so forth. We have a shit ton more...

With the Haliburton KBR thing they said "Hey if your contract has this in it we will not give you money". As for ACORN I'm not sure they had any particular contractual legislation that would cause them to lose money. They kinda just took it away. But I could be wrong. They do appear...

Every effort needs to be made to make sure he's fit to stand trial. The last thing in the world we need is to hand his lawyer (lawyers, there'll be more, believe me.) any evidence of mistreatment. The only way we could have avoided this would have been if the officer that shot him had plugged him a couple of more time for good measure. Because of the points you just gave, I'm afraid we may be stuck becoming like the example of Egypt under Nassar/Sadat. There were no jobs for the college educated. Therefore they just gave them government jobs, expanding the bureaucracy to fill the need. This led to a cumbersome system of unneeded processes, corruption, and (of Course) stifling of progress.
