Cloud My Doubt: I met a woman at mass last night who automatically made me really, really uncomfortable, but I have no idea why. Her smile was like...evil-looking. I've never had the urge to flee the second I meet someone before...this is new to me. Thats the feeling I get from all old people.

dave: One of Five: dave: Genetically, they do. Whatever you Boss... But we do have genetic evidence that the three Racial Stocks that came out of Africa 40,000 years agoa with the great population Flood of Noah diversified into the seven distinct "breds" I'm sorry, but I'll trust the scientist over the myspace poster who uses photobucket to support his claims. Of course. There was never any attempt on my part to get you to...

Who wrote The Old Testament?

MTR: I wrote it. I wrote it after taking acid one night. Jesus was there. So was Johnny Appleseed and Peter Pan! Of what value is further discussion with you then, already claiming that you are out of your mind much of time. If you do not value yourself, how can you value others?

Who wrote The Old Testament?

Martin: I have encountered folks who would scare the hell out of you (I'm sure getting the hell out of anyone might not be a bad thing, but, anyway, stick to the idiom) at first glance, and then end up being true angels... testimony in mind, my secondary two math teacher was the Devil incarnate (both in looks and discipline) but she's also the one I must credit most of my current success to... she never gave up while I was ready to,...

Sheryl: Divine Oracle: The Old Testament is the foundation of Christianity and Judaism.. But who wrote the Old Testament? Does anyone know their names? How can you base your entire faith on the words of persons who's names you dont even know? Many of the OT writters are named and can be known by the Books that have their names. There are only a bout 5 Books that the writters are not named. I dont base my faith on the writters of those...

Boondock Saint Redux: candidly, the Lutherans I know are about as akin to Catholic as it comes in the Protestant world (even more so then even Anglicans, at least on some doctrinal issues), which I do confess I find highly ironic. I dont care if they deny infused grace to hell with them. Many a Lutheran, Calvinist, Anglican ect. would go to heaven if it were not for there belief that the grace of Christ is imputed to us instead of diffused...

I think the "old religions" would survive. Whether justified or not, they will always find ways to interpret their holy books that would allow for the occurrence. The real question, I think, is whether their numbers would rise or drop in the event of "alien visitors".

I'd say nothing, because when I die I'm dead. No fairy tale land of magical-marshmallow clouds and loose women for anyone, though you can continue believing that nonsense if you want.

Cults can't be Christian? I've heard of plenty of cults that accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and the Bible as the Word of God. What other requirements are there to being Christian?

The website for the Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Canton, N.C., says there are "scriptural bases" for the book burning. The site quotes Acts 19:18-20: "And many that believed, came and confessed and shewed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts, brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of...

TheBibleMan: Jehovah Witnesses believe that Jesus is an angel who died for them. They believe that Mary carried an angel in her womb. They believe that an angel sits at the right hand of God. They believe that an angel is their Lord and savior. They believe that they are saved by the blood an angel. They believe that an angel gave them eternal life. Are Jehovah Witnesses Christians?...
