Search Engine Problems ...Among...

*Fixed* Turn off system restore now, and create a new restore point after you are clean and see no signs of infection, unless you don't mind going back to how infected it was before. Try scanning with this. CounterSpy I read it fixed a similar problem in an other topic there. Its a DNSchanger trojan. Try flushing you're dns , it may help as an other option. Also could try running a full scan with Malwarebytes and spybot in safe mode....

...Wait, that's probably not the right scan. Wait a minute... Hmm... For some reason, MySpace won't let me post the full thing. :/ ...Well, at least the search problem was resolved.

I AM A FREAK: Barring that, something might have gone wonky with your original install.... try re-reinstalling, i know that sounds....dumb, but better to nip the problem now than wait until you have stuff on it that you wont want to lose. Yeah. Sounds like the drivers didn't load right. Are you using a Microsoft install, or a branded install, such as Dell, HP, etc? Make sure you are using what came with the computer fi that is...

Patrick: And it can play FallOut3 well? Just saying, AGP isn't the only video solution for older machines. That sort of machine is going to have all sorts of bottlenecks from CPU and memory issues. Video card is not the only needed upgrade, and a PCI card will work with the system well.

Anthony: I don't like apple very much and windows xp is tolerable. My favorite is Linux and Unix. They are quite useful and they function really good as servers if you know hot handle them good. I don't like apple becuase it works good but it's so limited both on support and flexibility. Most of my Apps and video games have trouble on Apple and they don't thoroughly support it. Windows xp is tolerable. I do enjoy it's...

Now there’s an idea. disable explorer.exe or better yet just the taskbar, start button etc. in the registry and make the registry entry to run the swf file.

most routers have specific methods for setting up an access point. these methods vary between models and brands. you may need a wireless network repeater within your home to re-amplify the signal, if it is from a few houses away.

Solar Crimson: Do anyone here know what's causing this problem? The simpliest answer for you is to find a copy of Trendmicro's HighJackThis or HJT, provided you run XP or older. Copy the log into this thread and do not "fix" anything. If you fix the wrong thing you can stop your computer from starting. Once you post a log, somebody will come along to tell you what to clean and how.
