I have a friend who has a Taylor steel-stringed electric-acoustic, and it has a fine sound, plugged or unplugged. I have a Cordoba classical-electric, made of koa, and it's the best sounding guitar I've ever owned. It's also the best-looking, and I feel that it's important for me to show an audience SOMEthing good looking.

I'm screwed. That little rubber band-type thing on the g-string's tuning key broke, and wouldn't let it tune higher than it already was. So I pulled it off. Now it won't go anywhere but flat. This really, really sucks. Is there any way to fix this problem?

So I picked my eldest daughter up from school yesterday and hung around playing football with some of the kids for about half an hour. Today I feel a touch heavy legged. I took this as a sign I'm getting old. There's plenty of old codgers on here, what are the other signs I sould look for? Thanks in advance.

I remember hearing once that when you hit 35 you stop listening to new music. I am 38 and I can't stop, and I recently started writing music. When are we too old to be doing this kind of stuff? Are we ever too old?

I read a thread just now on how it is important to understand music theory. I'll start one with the basics and folks can ad to it as they see fit. The major scale/key: I'll use c major. c d e f g a b and c starts it over root tone tone semi-tone tone tone tone semi-tone and you're at c again. One fret is a semi-tone and 2 frets make a tone. You can start at any note on a guitar and go up the ...

I reckon nothing quite beats Marianne Faithfull's "Why'd ya do it"...... "Why'd ya do it, she screamed, after all we've said Every time I see your dick I see her cunt in my bed." When I first heard this I was genuinely shocked. It wasn't so much the colourful language it was more the sheer fury of the song. It's hard to listen to even now.
