Sorry to be the bearer - but if you have tried this and the drive shows up at 0Kb then it's probably dead. There is no recovery option for data. If you brought it from a reputable supplier then you should still be under warranty and should get a free replacement.

I have the same sound on my Dell Mini 9 I bought it new it's about 6 months old it seems to be cumming from the
wireless card if I turn it off the sound goes away.

Hi,
I want to tune my DM9, but I can't make a descision which way would be the best for my "problem".
The speed to load something is slow as hell, so for me it isn't a nice way to work with it. A bit of money is free in this month, so I would like to spend it to the DM. Now the question is: What will the Mini makes faster? 2Gb of Ram or a SuperTalent
SSD ? I could take a 16GB ...

Price of RAM has gone up lately. $20 would have been an excellent sale price, I paid $26 on sale some months ago. $40 isn't bad.
Just be thankful you're not buying DDR (1) RAM, which is much more expensive nowadays.
