the disk that ships with a new Mini 10 is usually a standard 2.5inch (9.5mm) 160gb SATA drive, when it comes with your system, depending on what you order in my case it had Windows XP Home on the 2nd partition and the 1st partition had the Dell diagnostic data on it (which you can do without), If I remember right I think the 3rd partition had the restore data on it) I replaced that tiny 160gb with a 500gb and the way I reloaded XP Pro (not...

There are no slots for RAM at all on this particular model
Theoretically it is still possible - by replacing half of the motherboard (including Atom CPU).
In practice, it is not worth it - it would cost fortune and complete netbook dismantling would be required

Great find!
I just downloaded both the driver and the application using chrome and all is working well. They must've fixed it...
Update: The dell tv application is completely unoptimized, video is pretty choppy. However, the driver seems to have improved the FPS on HD broadcasts...it just feels a little smoother...could be placebo though.

why not just go for the 56WHr battery, mine lasts like 6+ hours, I realize that it does stick out of the bottom, but if you think about it, it does raise the Mini quite nicely which I think helps to cool it better and it puts the keyboard at a nice comfortable angle also..just my 0.02..

Well, there is no such thing and it looks like there won't be any soon.
However, I was playing around with this GMA500 recently and found some interesting thing.
Looks like Intel recently has released "Intel Embedded Graphics Drivers (IEGD)" pack, dated on 10/23/2009. This is pack intended for developers, but it also contains the latest driver for GMA500 (10.2.0. 1447). Sadly, it is XPDM ...

I've had good results with an Elgato EyeTV Diversity (Also sold as the Hauppauge Nova-DT Stick) on my Dell Mini 9 under OS X running EyeTV 3.
Works fine in Diversity mode (where both tuners are tune to the same mux via two separate stubby aerials to reduce the number of errors in the received stream) in hotels in Sweden, the Netherlands and at home in the UK.
Good results on 576/50i MPEG2 ...
