Hmm, this is some interesting information here. I have the same questions however about a 302 going into a 4 cyl car.... From my research before, I found that the front springs, struts, and control arms need to be swapped out. Keep in mind, this is for a 4 cyl car, so if your's was a v8 car you won't need to mess with the control arms. But, that's just the results of my searching a ...

Where are you shifting your car at? What is your powerband? 60' looks good if you're on stock tires.. I found with my car that shifting at 5500 RPMs rather than closer to redline netted me better speeds than winding it out, if you've had the car dyno'd.. try shifting 200-300 RPM past your peak HP, it should land you right back in your torque powerband.. For what its worth, off the shelf...
