well it wasnt anything do back flips over but def a difference in 1st and 2nd gear, any lil performance increase is worth my time and i had already planned on doing air induction (turbo or supercharger) at that really helps air flow better which means more power! DDTCM i would recommend it if you have the time, its not gonna blow your mind or feel like nitrous or anything but for 12 bucks for some stones and 2 or 3 days of your time for a few...

Plus you have an aftermarket mid pipe and mufflers, so that's contributes to the madness

Long Tube Headers

You get the headers and the H pipe that fits with the headers, then all you need is a generic cat back system for any GT and you have exhaust. Either that or you get your "custom" pipes and have them made by someone compatent that can put a ball flange on the end that hooks to the headers

Honestly I've never priced out a P&P so I don't know estimates. Call up your local, reputable machine shops and ask for prices. If you can remove the heads yourself and bring them into the shop I assume the price drops drastically. As per doing it yourself, if you are unsure of what you are doing or shaky with tools I wouldn't recommend it. You can actually hurt your horsepower. There is an article somewhere (I want to...

coil pack

Had one on my old fox 5.0 & on the stock engine it made the throttle response a little better. That was with the accel coil, wires & plugs. Should do about the same on the sixer, but don't know for sure. I just bought a stock replacement for mine for $75.00 __________________ 1998 coupe v6 Auto with 3.73 gears (8.8) 2.25 H-pipe with 2 cats Stock 2.25 GT catback AM CAI Mac UDP

aight i have a 04 v6 mustang! by far the best investment is a tuner and 373 gears (manual) and 410 gears (automatic) and also T lok! which is posi! trust me posi is awesome espically for burn outs. the one tire fire looks dumb lol! anyway the gears w/ t lock you can get used for about $200-$300! mines actually out of a ford ranger. the parts are interchangable. a shop will install them for a ...

I've heard of some whining after install with Motive Gears, and other cases where there were no issues at all. Ford Racing gears the no. 1 on my list, then Motive Gears, then Richmond.
I'm going to say that the outcome will be based on the quality of the install.

What were the before and after #'s and what kind of gain did u see after the P&P? I'm sure he will probably want to know that in order to make up his mind and I'm interested to hear also.

Man, sorry to hear you're still having problems after all the trouble you had with it before.
That's a tough call man...to go back to the stock y-pipe. I have the stock y right now and want to get rid of it. You could run divorced pipes from the headers to the catback piping. If you want to retain cats you could have the aftermarket ones welded into the divorced piping.
Personally...

OHV= over head valve.
SOHC= single over head camshaft.
OHV is when the camshaft is in the center of the engine and has push rods to open the valves.
A SOHC the camshaft is on top of the head and directly on top of the valves which don't require push rods or rocker arms. This is also called modular motor or mod motor.

Hey guys,
The thread title pretty much sums it up. I have brought it twice to Pep Boys and they cannot fix it. First they said it was a missing fuse so they replaced it. Service Engine Soon disappeared. A day later, it was back on. I took it back and they said it was a damaged air pump and the electrical wire was spliced. I brought it back a day later and I think they felt ashamed so they...
