Air Filter Cleaning
Published (2009-11-26 09:39:00)
yeah dude, like amustang said...I went down to my local autoparts store, and bought a K & N "recharge" kit. Its about $13 and comes with 2 cans. Cleaner and an Oil spray. You remove the filter (just the filter, not the tubes) and spray it with the cleaner. Let sit 10 minutes with cleaner on it, and then take it on over to the garden hose and spray it down real nice. Repeat if really dirty. Leave to dry overnight or...

here's my progressing story using all my threads 3 weeks ago (now 4) i ordered MAC longtubes. I got them in a timely manner but when I tried installing them the exhaust ports didn't line up right. so i called and got a return authorization on them. i mailed them in on november the 5th. UPS told me they arrived to their destination the following monday the 9th. i called to verify they received them and they said they would be in the...

There is also the issue with lowered or not. I went with CDC partially based on the my stang being 1.5" drop in front and a daily driver. The CDC is not as agressive and, although likely will need care on driveways, does not go below my lowest point of the undercarrage. Then there is the $125 cost All that said, it is just meauring and theory since my new CDC is in the mail!

Thermo stat housing leaking
Published (2009-11-24 14:31:00)
I just chagned mine out last month - make sure you get it done, nothing worse then smelling that darn anti-freeze!! I wish they would have made the thermostat housing out of something other than cheap plastic - luckily you have your warranty, I didn't so it was all hit n miss and trial run Good luck!

There is no reason for the cluster to beep at you. Unless it has gained intelligence all of the sudden. Maybe it's Morse code and it's trying to tell you something. Most likely it's something else like the light switch or a door not fully closed. I had my cluster replaced also, but no beeping. Maybe mine is just dumber.

7) remove the 3-8mm or 5/16" bolts that hold the lower housing on.(pic10) and remove the housing assembly.(pic11)
8) remove the wire clip that holds the sensor in the housing. pry it out with a small screwdriver but watch where it goes if it flys off 10`away. push the new sensor into the new lower housing and install the clip. position the sensor so it faces the same way it did for...

A tune would really help you performance wise and probably mpg wise... the phenomenon of losing mpg when adding mods is explained: New mods= more power. More power= happier owner = Heavier foot . Heavier foot= more time on the throttle = less mpg . After you get used to it you will notice the mpg slowly rise.... haha

Don't pull the rev limiter. You should be safe to 200 rpms above redline before the valves begin to float.
