Just interested in what you guys think is the best barbell to use to develop overall bicep size, EZ bar or regular barbell? ( i have heard that both bars stimulate the bi's differently) , EZ bar is milder on my wrists which are a bit weak due to breaking them when i was young. < Message edited by supernatural80 -- Aug. 6 2008 21:41:37 >

I've been bench pressing with barbell and don't seem to be making any progress. Due to the times when I train, I have no partner and there is quite often no one around to spot. So I thought about using the Smith machine to push myself a bit more and go to failure on the push up part of the press. Would the smith machine give me good development and start getting my weights up.

Due to my bad lower back, i'd like to try a good alternative to deadlifts. Any suggestions?

hi, after doing a lot of weighted crunches and oblique work, i'm getting good results, but am starting to slouch a little now. How best can i fix the problem? I need to stand up straighter and have my shoulders sit back all the time! Its not that easy to actively hold them back all the time. I think a muscle balance or balances might be happening! Thanks, joe

Incline bench inclined to about 25 degrees, laid on it frontways to do dumbell raises, you know what I mean ?? Is there a proper way to do this ?? I was doing a few reps the other day and as I raised the dumbells up, I got an almighty snap/twang at the bottom of my neck, feels like really bad whiplash.Scared I'd done some damage I went to the hospital. They told me I've torn my trap ...

I'm trying to master this but there's no-one in my gym who can show me (that I know of anyway). Any tips? I find crossed arms too uncomfortable and olympic style I can't seem to get my elbows high enough.

I've been doing deads for my overall back development. Need some suggestions to change things up, stimulate some growth in the mid back. Any ideas?

I've always deadlifted but I've been wondering recently if I want to focus myself towards bodybuilding should I keep doing them? I've read arguments that it's more a power and strength move. Whats the general opinion?

I've increased my ab work, but find it hurts bad after a while around my lower front rib when crunching. Not sure how else to describe it. It's not my rib It's the front part of the lower part of the cage, the last one? See where the a's are in this pic?: http://www.exrx.net/Muscles/RectusAbdominis.html well there really. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rib_cage Half way up the darker ...
