I don't resemble DH's ex at all. We have different body shapes, different colour and type of hair and are generally very different

I don't think what you're describing are stretchmarks. As stretchmarks don't look like love bites. Stretchmarks normally start as quite an angry purple or deep pink colour and then fade to pale scars after a few months. What you're describing sounds like scratches that haven't broken the skin. What is worse is trying to get hold of nice quality old wax jackets for motorcycle use. Since Brad wore one in Benjamin thing all the blokes want them, they are going for £300 quid on ebay, and the new ones are even more (made in Italy, now, see - they have become a 'fashion brand') It makes me really cross. Firstly it says dress for dinner - not black tie so it doesn't have to be a long dress. A nice cocktail dress will be fine I'm sure. If you wanted a long dress you could always look on ebay as there are loads of nice ones usually. To me, dress for dinner would just mean dress up (ie,not denim) and so you could wear a nice knee length skirt with pretty top or black trousers and a jacket ...
