Ask around. There are bound to be other mums who like to make
birthday cakes for kids. I own a kids cafe in N London and we supply b day cakes. Might be a bit far for you though!! Alternatively, you could just buy a plain cake, buy some red fondant icing and cover it yourself.

They are £7 in asda as a donkey - i nearly bought one last week then decided perhaps it wasnt right to encourage kids to beat the shit out of a donkey with a stick - in

Some people do not RSVP and just turn up. Two children will be fine, relax, can't give advice on
party games as not my thing but I am sure others will be on in a minute. If it was my ds's party I would just let them get on with it and probably play with them and have a relaxed few hours. IME children make their own fun, have some nice food and you could have some games and acitivies ...

not very inspiring but an 80s madonna would be v easy to do - skirt, leggings, some vest top with bra showing, lots of crucifixes, necklaces, backcombed hair with some coloured net tied into a headband they'll be loads of madonnas - I bet you Er - you could go a bit rockier / sluttier and be
wendy james instead?

Possible problem with the clown is that some children may be scared of him - I once had to phone DH to come and take DD2 away from a party where the magician was blowing up balloons (she has an
irrational fear of balloons bursting when they are being inflated - absolutely fine once they're blown up). And there was no way I'd've got DD1 out of there as she was having a ball......

How about "Hunt the ....."? Use plastic bats, mini skeletons or chocolate pumpkins or whatever you fancy and hide them. For 2 yr olds you should probably stick to hiding them in just one room and in quite obvious places. You could get them to try and throw small
cuddly toys or beanbags into the top of a large pumpkin.
