Sandymouth Bay in Bude is really nice. It is a fairly small site but it has everything you need and it is immaculate! Will take longe than 3 hours though.

Croix du vieux pont (also known as Berny Riviere) is always popular. They run a coach to Disneyland and into Paris a couple of times a week to save you having to faff around with parking or getting the train. Nice swimming pool with a couple of slides and cover for rainy days (this is northern France we're talking about ) Only stayed there for two nights en route to the south ...

are you sticking to ni? there are lots of lovely beaches and walks etc around newcastle. enniskillen is v. pretty. n. antrim is good. donegal is hard to beat for beaches.

to follow the sunshine , we only did this once after the last trip had been torrential rain , had to forego deposit at site we had originally booked and drive for an extra hour but it was definately worth it!
