I've found it easier to puree with boiled water, freeze in
ice cube trays and then express a bit when defrosted to make it runnier. Makes it easier to get it in the ice cube trays if it's not too runny too!

Worrier, have you had your ds checked out by your gp at all - the reason I ask is that my dd had terrible reflux, bad wind being one of the symptoms of this. Perhaps it is just
trapped wind and I'm worrying about nothing but the arching back comments sets off alarm bells for me and I wonder if you had explored this possibility?

I'm sure someone better informed will be along, but from memory mine did sleep a lot less in the day from this age, so might not in itself be an indication that he's hungry? Likewise, sucking with 'less power'; it's a long time ago for me, but the feeling does change iirc, does feel less'powerful re let-down etc, and surely if he was really hungry he'd be sucking harder? Prob not much ...

Yes they do toughen up. The first 2 weeks can be really tough. Check and check again that they are latched on properly. When they have finished feeding cover the nipple in
breast milk and let them air dry. Good luck. Don't worry most new mums spend a at the very least 1 night in tears over feeding!

<Puts hand up> Me, me! I want to
die. Last night I was up at 11:30, 02:30, 03:30, 04:15 and 06:15 I used to have a brilliant sleeper I don't think it helps that she is quite poor at eating her solids.
