It sounds as though you may have to correct a setting in Thunderbird. Look under Tools->Account Settings->Copies & Folders->select the "Sent" folder for that particular account.

2. If I understand you correctly, I suspect that you did not uncheck "Use Global Inbox" when you set it up. It is therefore using the inbox under Local Folders. This is easy to fix. See this: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Global_Inbox 5. Correct. The profile folder (actually the folder under Thunderbird>Profiles) is all you need.

Number of unread emails is wrong
Published (2009-12-01 00:00:00)
I did exactly as you said, have a brand new Inbox, yet the same problem. When new email arrives, the Inbox becomes bold and doesn't show any numbers beside it, or sometimes shows the wrong number and very few times show the correct number. Is it only my client doing this or is it universal? might be related to some other files or ini file and not the Inbox folder. No worries, I will live with it.

Permanent pen --can't always find the tool. Will try it and get back to you. You don't get the entire paragraph above highlighted when you try to paste into a reply. TB extensions are sparse, and I wonder if one has become buggy and neglected. The info on many of them in AMO is spotty, and many aren't kept updated, just die. I guess it's more interesting towrite for FF. The Paste thing is a mystery, then. I didn't even...

Open the server settings for that account and change it to pop.gmail.com Tools>Account Settings, then choose the Server Settings for that account. Note, you may also need to set the Port to 995 if not already done.

Is that the type of formatting you meant? Not exactly. My default font would be Times font in green. If I click reply to an email, then the body of the email shows up as Times font green, no matter what the original font used was. It just makes it that bit more awkward when replying to an email because I have to reformat the original text and then change my replies back to my deafult so ...

I have spaces in the names of ALL of my distribution lists and they all work. I think it may be the mere act of saving an edited list name that causes TBird to overwrite the stored list info, and corrects some sort of corruption.

With an IMAP account the message bodies are stored on the server, not your local computer, and only retrieved temporarily to your local computer when you attempt to read them. Consequently, unless you have deliberately downloaded messages and saved them to a folder in your Local Folders, they are not available for you to read except when you are connected online. See this Mozillazine Knowledge...

Hi everyone: I am using Windows 7 and Thunderbird version 2.0.0.23 (20090812). The basic problem is that the [Gmail]/Spam folder (label) does not show up on Thunderbird. I have tried deleting the .msf files. I have even tried removing the imap.gmail.com folder entirely. Both of these forded Thunderbird to re-download the folder list and it always creates it without the [Gmail]/Spam folder. ...

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Importing_folders http://kb.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_profile_fold er Use the ImportExportTools add-on to import the folder from the profile. Or move the profile per the 2nd article. The Ext2fs driver lets you access ext3 partitions from Windows if you can't access the old Wubi partition from Ubuntu for some reason. http://www.fs-driver.org/

When we are retrieving email, what is the sequence? i.e.: which accounts get retrieved first? Is there a way to indicate the sequence of retrieval? e.g.: I want me@email.com to be the 1st to download emails, then me2@mail.com followed by you2@mail.com

Hello, I want TB to automatically expand these email accounts, that have new mails. Also all accounts states should not be saved, i.e. when TB is restarted the accounts should be collapsed again. Is there any setting or extension to do this?
