SM 2 cannot find my old profile

yeah, you're not the only one complaining about this migration crap. I'm on a couple of other SM groups/forums, and its the same thing there, too. Try this: on the icon that you used to start SM 2, right click on it, select Properties, then the Shortcut tab, and on the Target line, add the " -migration" without the quotes, and with the space in front of the dash.

Seamonkey 2 Pinball Theme

Arg! LittleMonkey for SeaMonkey is using a (dare I say) FF throbber (blasphemy!). Internet search from the URL bar, from the dropdown selection where it would say, "Google Search for ..." does not highlight so appears non-functional.

I didn't want the prompt every time I closed Seamonkey to see if I wanted to save before closing, so I clicked don't ask again. Is there a way to selectively do that without the prompt everytime? Like some sort of right-click or toolbar item? It seems to be a useful feature. I haven't tried the Save page As yet to see what form of document that produces. Microsoft now creates a single entity that opens as a complete HTML -- no...

Still no response from this knowledgeable community? I'm surprised. Let me say that with Microsoft Outlook, it's just matter of exporting and importing a *.pst file. Why is it so mysterious with Seamonkey? Doesn't someone out there know how to do this? It can't be that rare a problem. Thanks, Shneor

Some Firefox 3.5 users seem to be having the same problem: No Cut & paste in Firefox 3.5 After updating firefox to 3.5.3, the clipboard cannot cut and paste. Without firefox running, clipboard runs fine. Did all the stuff you have in knowlegebase. No soap. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/MimeTypes.rdf for some more background and syntax information of that file. It has several levels of defining MIME types, file extensions, and associated applications. webmoebius wrote: I have a hard time understanding what the point is for the developers to go on a regression such as this and then perhaps later add it back. Form Manager gone in 2.0
Published (2009-11-02 15:57:00)
Is there a way to tell SeaMonkey to prefill an entire form rather than have to drill into each field to access the form history? Of course, I would need the ability to select from the history dropdown for a different selection. But most of the time, Seamonkey 1.x selected the correct field values. Thanks, Mike

SM 2 cannot find my old profile
Published (2009-11-03 17:55:00)
I have gone back to 1.1.18. It works better than SM 2. To answer a couple of questions above. When I was using 1.1.18, it was my default browser. Then I removed 1.1.18 entirely and when I installed SM 2 I made it my default browser. Still no migration. I tried all the different ways I could think of or that were suggested to me (like what Dave said) and still no migration. When I used the term Home Page, I mean the Start page or Welcome page...

I installed SM 2 on my XP operating system after some difficulty in it not opening. However, when I got it open I found that it did not recognize my old profile from the 1.1.18 version. I want to use that profile, which is still there and not a new one. How can I do it? Thank you!

Previously, in SM 1.X's browser helper applications list, it was possible to add, edit and delete entries in the helper applications list. Now in SM 2.0 Windows version, there is only a list and there seems to be no way to add or delete entries in the list, it is possible to only edit existing help application entries already in the list. Can someone tell me how to add entries for certain file ...

When you say "should", are you implying that this is something that your SM 1.1.X windows shortcut offered, or it's more like a request for a new feature? Because I never realized such functions were availble on SM 1.1.X
