Also if you visit pages that use plugins (WMP , Flash, Java) then the plugins save data in their own cache or local storage.

FYI this is done because Firefox tries to fill the form in. It's been a while since I looked at password manager code, but I think if you set signon.autofillForms to false, then you'll get what you want.

hmm, I was fairly certain that it did record every visit properly back in 2.0 before the sqlite database?

That seems like a ton of work to take the place of simply pushing the Private Browsing button.

This feature request applies to cases where Password Manager is active. For all web pages having log-on controls (user name, password) I wish the password manager is asking for master password not until user name field starts to be filled up by user. Asking for master password as the page is being opened is irritating.

This might not work as there could be multiple links on a single page and a short cut wont know which one you desire. Maybe Im wrong but I personally don't see how it could work.
