my mother is so jealous of every second that i spend with my aunt, that every visit with her has become a crude parody of every interrogation scene in every WWII movie ever made or seen. "we have ways of making you talk..."

Even though I lost track of who said what in that thread, I did have the presence of mind to look back to this time last year and see the greetings to Suzanne and peppyre,

As long as Doc is in charge, we should all make it through this long nightmare. But we do need an update from Deb.

We just lost power for 45 minutes - the whole town, far as I could tell. Scary, nighttime in winter; the cold sinks into this old house fast once the heat goes down. Got out the flashlights & candles, got the power company on the cellphone, they were pretty accurate on when it would be restored. Whew.

QUOTE(Alexandra @ Jan 2 2010, 09:52 AM) Apparently, I broke a toe on NYE. ouch. You've got my sympathy. That happened to me right around this time last year. It caught me by surprise - I thought "It's just my little toe. How much can it hurt?" Well, it hurt enough to cause me to walk with a limp for 6 weeks. I had to wear sneakers because regular shoes put too much pressure on it. I hope you heal...

QUOTE(The Scream @ Jan 5 2010, 01:53 PM) I will never again procrastinate about writing assignments. I can't believe that I managed to churn out 100,000 words in two weeks. Thank you. But then again, you were my excuse for procrastinating on other stuff. Well, I guess that can still be the case.

She's really into it. The clipboard, the pen, the forms and drilling kids about why they are in the halls during lunch. She caught an 8th grader who's a head shorter than her. Apparently, he was a...

So around 6:40am I open our apartment door to throw a load into the laundry machine. BooBoo shoots out, like she often does, and I figure she shoots right back like she always does. But she doesn't. We don't realize that until Jack wakes up and starts looking for her. Lightbulb! So Jack and I go out and find her one flight down, cowering behind the washing machine. Crisis averted. And Jack was so...

Doing my taxes even though I'll be getting money back. Because that would involve balancing my bank account, and I've got a small stack of statements glaring at me. But I might procrastinate a little more, so my money doesn't come until closer to the end of April, when the new Mac Books go on sale, bundled with OS 10.5.
