Daniel, I think many fans would agree with your gut-level admiration for Jeter and distaste for A-Rod, but I think you're wrong about his talent level and production. He's a major reason the Yankees are where they are right now. His hitting in the post-season has been tremendous, and although in the first couple games of the World Series he didn't have a hit, he's had key hits since that have been a big part of the Yankee...

Is your math right on Sabathia? Sabathia would be pitching on two days rest. Even the...

I could be, I am sure I am.. I mean the guy makes crazy duckets.. He has to or has to have been an amazing player.. I watched the guy play three games out of his entire career.. But come on, crack a smile, clap a little, look interested in the game. I feel like he has the limo running in the parking lot with Kate Hudson smoking dubes in her nighty.

QUOTE(Liza @ Nov 3 2009, 10:38 AM) He's been really engaged this series so far. You see him much more connected now than ever before. I agree with this, especially in Saturday's game. He was animated and cheering everyone after good plays. Plus, after the game he was very complimentary of his team mates.

Hard to argue that Posada hasn't been clutch behind the plate, let alone "not impressive". Cano should be benched for a game.

That ninth inning was really quite exciting - it just kills me that the Yankees bullpen has so completely collapsed in the post-season. That said, the loss means that I'll be headed to last my ballgame of the '09 season tomorrow night. We're seated in far left field, second to last row of the stadium.

Another year, another Great Saunter. I did 10 miles this time, a personal best. Of course, it helped that it was sunny but not too warm.

I don't have much positive to say about the Yankees this morning. Sabathia's four hits, two runs was actually not a problem. What happened to that bullpen? And given that Girardi has a line-up which actually could tie up a four run game in one inning, why use the dreaded Bruney to let them extend the lead? Lee, of course, was good. But Jeter went three for four. Where was everybody ...

For some odd reason, the editors of GQ feel qualified to name "America's 25 Douchiest Colleges" in the current number. #24 is Texas. #16 is USC. #1 is Brown. Florida does not make the list. Curiously, they also feature a piece on Tim Tebow and his religious beliefs. Hmmmm?

I am looking forward to this season. Cancellara always does well in short time trials. Armstrong, who came tenth in this prologue seems to be in excellent shape.
