I would absolutely love to have ordered that pig, but the g/f and I were clearly not going to make a big enough dent in it. We strongly suspected, as you say, that if you order appetizers and side dishes, even 3 people would have trouble finishing it.

QUOTE(Sneakeater @ Dec 17 2009, 01:13 PM) I thought the treviso was just terrific, one of my favorite vegetable dishes of late. I LIKED the too much bitterness. Maybe because I had it with the coda, which as oakapple has noted is not strongly seasoned. I liked the bitterness. It was the texture and acid that I felt were overdone.

( AaronT and I were also there last night, and indeed had a brief but nice chat with Mr. Bonner. The space is attractive and although it's large and barn-like it's not too noisy and the restaurant area is laid out and divided in a way that seems almost cozy. Good lighting, and very attractive black shades on the hanging fixtures. The hallway back to where the bathrooms are is very banged-up looking, with chipped paint, for such a new...

QUOTE(Inkslinger @ Aug 29 2009, 07:53 AM) QUOTE(Cathy @ Aug 28 2009, 06:05 PM) I love Abbe Diaz. She's smart and funny and irreverent. Thank you for your support! Are you Abby Diaz or just president of the fan club.. I get sticking up for someone but, thanking someone for complimenting someone else. Kind of strange.

QUOTE(ulterior epicure @ May 19 2009, 09:57 PM) Did anyone foresee three Bruni stars in Minetta Tavern's fate? I am more stunned than I have been about any Bruni rating. Only 6.8% of Eater's 497 voters predicted this outcome.

Farinelli (90 Worth, just off Bway) - good crust, the tomato-less prosciutto and cheese (sparingly dotting the pie) was the best of the bunch we tried. the pizza was precut and sold by the piece (despite varying sizes). except for the very basic, it was $3.25-3.50 a piece. buffalo margherita was a little sweet as it was mostly the sauce - the buffalo mozzarella blobs very tiny. potato and ...

Had dinner here Sunday night. Lentils toscana; linguine with cabbage, speck and toasted garlic; pizza marinara. Drank a sauvignon blanc. I'm predictable, aren't I? Red wine makes me so sleepy. No pix because the batteries needed charging. Newest gelato is buffala ricotta with figs. Olive oil gelato is silky smooth as ever, even better with a little Maldon sea salt. Roasted cinnamon ...
