Pick a disney resort

No suites were left online for our dates at any non-deluxe resort. Looked nice until I saw the price. Uh, no way. So I'm thinking two connecting rooms at a value resort, if we can. Not sure which Value Resort, but I'll see what I get. Worst-case scenario is that we end up at the embassy suites, which is okay anyway.

New Tree houses? Worth it?...
Published (2009-12-11 06:43:00)
I've only stayed at a DVC once, and that was on points I rented from an owner. I think the only down side to staying at a DVC resort on a cash basis (vs owning or renting points) is the cost. Also I believe the treehouses sleep a large group, so if you're not going to use all that room, then the cost is likely to get pretty big, when you look at it per person. One up side of paying cash for a DVC room is the maid service. On points,...

Hello All! We're not DVC members but my fam is interested in checking out teh Treehouse Villas. I've NEVER stayed in a DVC villa Nor have we stayed at Saratoga Springs? Can you all help me? What kind of wait are we looking at for buses? how long does it take to get everywhere? We're very used to being right near a park, is it hard being near downtown only? Anyone here try the Treehouses? Whats the pros and cons of staying at a...

We have never stayed at the treehouse villas, but we too are interested in them. When we did the comparison, if we split the treehouse with another family it was about the same price as us staying in a moderate room. We are a family of five. Can't wait to hear if you decide to stay there and how your trip goes.

Drince is spot on with her advice. I also second that at this late your best bet for onsite is to call and find out what is available onsite. This is a very busy season at WDW. If youre willing to stay off site I highly suggest The Caribe Royale. Check out mouse savers site under preferred hotel for discounted rates here. A standard room will sleep 6 with two queens and a double size pull out sofa in a separate family room area. I have...

Budget Honeymoon at Disney World?

If it crowds you want to avoid go the week after labor day, but it will still be on the warm side. My choice would be October, low crowds and nice weather. I think DW would be a great place for a Honeymoon

Budget Honeymoon at Disney World?

Oh, we are planning on going on a "mini honeymoon" the night of the wedding. There are lots of wonderful, romantic ( and cheap) hotels where I live and we figured, why not book a hotel for a couple days and then go on a real vacation when the crowds are lower and the weather is nicer? As far as vegas goes, my fiance and I aren't big partiers. I think we would both rather go to Disney World. Our second choice was Costa...

SSR is our home resort, and we have been more than happy with our choice. Being near DTD is a bonus in our books. We like to stay at the Congress Park area and the bus service is good and its only a walk to DTD. As for the Treehouses, they really look nice and spacious, and can sleep 9 people. The decorum is very much like that of the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge. However, the pool area, while nicely done, is rather basic compared to the...

I have moved your thread to a DisneyWorld area. Don't worry, people will still see it.

Hello!! We stayed at Coronado Springs about 5 years ago and loved it. The food court is excellent. They have lots of options - chinese, italian, salads, sandwiches, and steaks even. It is a great value to use your CS credits if you are on the dining plan. They also have a TS restaurant there, but we never got to eat there. I really love the decor and they have a great pool. Although, some of the...

Is that part of the resort or the DVC? I get confused with that area for some reason. By the way, great for you! Have fun; wish I was there .

My take - if you have a specific request that you really want addressed, skip online check in. Just make sure that your TA put the request in the ressie, which will help.
One question, are both rooms under your name or do you have separate ressies from your parents?

If it was the ES in Lake Buena Vista, I would hesitate myself. Been there a couple of times myself and I am not sure I will be going back. The quality of the rooms are inconsistent at best and the breakfast crowd can get really heavy. My last experience was rather bad and if I wasn't getting the room for free (via Hilton Points) I probably would have made a big stink.

That is a great choice for that age, the boat ride to the magic kingdom is fun. The other option to consider is the contemporary for the monorail and it is walking distance to the magic kingdom if you need to get back to the room quick.

Isn't that Pop Warner time? That would explain POR. The rest???? Hmmm...
Sometimes I pop over to Travelocity to have them price out availaibility. Maybe they block rooms for them? They seem to have more availability there. If you need a room only or room plus tickets, it's a plausible option.
