I got called out recently for bashing the trails at Alexander on MTBR without really knowing what the heck I was talking about. The first and last ride I did there was about 1 year ago and the new trails were not yet completed. SO I'm gonna go ride them trails and see what the real condition of Alexander is. To that point, I'll be holding a group ride at Alexander on Wednesday 8/27 ...

Did a ride this afternoon and shortly after entering Mullinax from S. Mills, I hear rustling. Big rustling. Through the branches, about 20' away, was the culprit. Black, round, shiny. I could make it out and it sure knew we were there. I waited a bit, and made some more noise, but it stood and stared. A few seconds later, it took a step or two and let out a snort, but didn't move. We left. ...

I wasn't at the meeting, so where's this new connector trail going to be? I'd like to see something over Joanna Rd. way, so the circumnavigation of Dupont can be done w/o the fire road slog on that side of the park. I can come out that Weds. night & help flag it, regardless of where it is. 6pm @ Corn Mill works for me.

" Haven't walked the flag line for some time, but have recently seen remnants of the flag line. If you need help re-establishing that flag line, give me a call..." Zen, There is a flagline that David put in and I have walked it and it looks good. But as always, we may want to tweak it a bit the week before the workday. I will keep you posted on when to do that. Potential job prospect has me maybe moving out to Durham, and was wondering is there any riding nearby or in Durham? Got the SS since my norcal 6" travel bike is probably useless.

I plan to ride Dupont for the first time in late September, following the epic route, and I'd love some tire advice from experienced locals. What tires/sizes/pressures work for you, specifically for Dupont?
