Ive been using my Socom as a AM/FR/DH bike for almost 2 years now weighing in at 36.9 lbs. Its not bad at all.

Hate to break it to ya, but there is no such thing as a sealed bearing that
completely shuts out water and mud (at least not available for a bicycle).
And even if
no water or mud got in the bearings you will definetly get grit
inbetween the inner bearing race, and the bolts. This grit will grind away
at the bolts where the bearings ride on them. It always amazes me that some

cut out some hard plastic that is slightly larger that the bearing - so it rests on the link only and is high enough for the bearing to slide out. use a socket that sits on the inner race (not the bearing seal) and punch it out from the back.
not the most professional way, but why do you want to remove new bearings anyways?
