so lemme make sure i understand. you have a large fr frame which is admittedly too small and yer gonna trade it for a large dh frame which most likely will have a shorter t/t than yer current stinky. right? and yes, a 3/4" lower bar with 4 extra inches of length will get yer attention. sure will make doin a kiss of death alot easier though.

Twenty6 Mod

I believe it was Woodman that made spike pins many years ago. These pins threaded in and had a hex base. What exactly did this "mod" entail? Just drilling out the threads and pressing the pins in? They're cool looking pedals. And I have no doubt that they are well made... but they're spendy and not really all that light or slim or innovative.

Actually atlas FR is now the leader for strength to weight ratio... its lighter than saint and just as strong if not stronger since it is solid, not hollow.

The best you know is the best you've ridden. Boxxers = deathtrap. Sorry. Go see the kind of clapped out sh*t that guys like Sanjay ride. I don't care about your racing resume. Not hating - pointing out that you are in no place to make assumptions about my rides. Believe me, I would provide useful information about SLO, because there's LOTS to be found and ridden up there, but he wanted to find aggro kids. They're usually...

Yes it's DOT approved, it's a Shoei! it's not a cheap helmet either! I just tried it on without goggles and now that i'm paying attention to it, it's not the helmet, So it must be the goggles. How much do Blur B1s cost (just to get an idea, i'm gonna have to go goggle shopping tomorrow)

Just be aware that you have to take really good care of any PnS camera with an extendable lens while mountain biking. I have killed 3 good cameras by getting water/dirt/dust and other debris just from riding and jamming the lens and/or lens cover. It sucks. $300 down the drain each time I'm considering going to something like the Canon D10 or Pana TS1 to get around that issue, even if their ...

The whole suspension marketing nonsense is geared to young people who haven't been around long enough to know any better. I've ridden many VPP bikes and the pedal kickback really turned me off and all I could see was all those little links getting slightly worn in a couple of years and the bike becoming a loose goose to ride. To be honest I kind of like a suspension that reacts as I step on the ...

You cant go wrong with the Saints. Ive owned both generations. The new ones are great, and much lighter. And possibly the best part is how easy they are to work on. The Race Face cranks I have worked on are not as mechanic friendly.

This has happened to me a few times before commiting to go big. It's worked out for the most part but, it's back fired a time or two. The best example was when I was being filmed on a large drop I decided to go "extra big". Well I hung my rear tire really low and bottomed the suspention which stopped my rear tire on my seat- edjecting me OTB and breaking my helmet.... Anyone else have some ...

Long time reader, first time poster~ Relatively new to the Socal/ Central Coast area and find myself venturing to San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria areas for fun. I have been doing my MTBR research for the area and it didnt seem that they are many available shuttle-able DH tracks that have features or anything of the freeride nature. Wanna know if anybody can drop some knowledge on my nugget and ...

I just started dabbling in DH and have been riding by myself. Nothing crazy, but getting faster, steeper, and more tchnical. Anybody ride DH by themselves or a bad idea? I would prefer a parter, but I haven't found one yet and sometimes its easier just to roll solo.
