I rode Maxwell on the way back from the cement plant / Bingham Hill today. Top was packed / potholed with deep stuff on either side of the track. Middle was potholed, but good surface. Bottom was icy where the slush had frozen (only nutted myself twice). All was bumpy, but that could have been because I was running 55psi and full rigid. It was tricky, but ridable top to bottom while in the shadow. However, it looks like it had been slushy (and...

So Got Dirt, where were you last night? Made it to GCB by 6, just in time for 2 pints and some sampling of former brewer, Ted's Gin and Chocolate Liquor. Gin and IPA are not a great match. Didn't actually seem that cold last night but today looks to be a different story. I love my Balaclava. Wore the 5-10s with mountaineering socks and it seemed to work nicely. I have finally accepted the fact that in very cold and snowy weather,...

Well plans did not go as planned today. My wife is currently stuck in Wyoming and the highways were closed all day (Just recently opened)! She has drifts 4+ feet deep on 3 sides of her Discovery and a fence on the 4th. So after watching reports, conditions, and such around 3:30 we decided it was going to be tomorrow before she was going to be able to come back home. Well I had already been home all day on the net/phone and had to get out! I...

Gonna head out and slog through some white stuff. I'll have to bring the snaux bike, since my fat bike isn't built yet. Any good places around Boulder? (I am thinking fairly flat until it crusts over?)

11 am, dog park - not sure how long I last in this effing cold - but I'll be at the start. Thanks for taking the lead and making a decision. I appreciate it and will keep any teasing to the humanly possible minimum.

Excited to have my ss back in CO. Been out once since I flew it back from Pennsyltucky...I did get a couple of snow rides in while I was there.
FYI - if you fly SW airlines, you can check 2 bags free. The dimensions are: height+length+width must = 62" or less and no more than 50 lbs. This means that if you get a small bike box, it ships free, insured to $3200. Fed Ex and UPS both wanted ...

Looking for some suggestions for riding in mid-July. Looking for challenging single track for @ 3 days of riding for my son and I. Checked trail reviews but didn't really find anything current.
Thanks,
Marty
