What a great ride that was!! I can't say enough about the group that came out, and the vibe we had. We started with at least 39 riders, and stayed together throughout. Plenty of rally stops, and encouragement all along for everyone. No real carnage or mechanicals, other than a couple flats, and a sideways-topple into a cholla heading down the rockiest part of the Old Jeep Road. There were *LOTS* of hikers out, including one large, guided...

Being part of an awesome Group ride yesterday in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve with 40 other riders has me very stoked for this Saturday's Dawn 2 Dusk on the other side of the McDowells!
I'm registered for solo geared, who else is in? See ya out there!

Drove all the way there last month and spent five minuites there. It was all low rider, cruiser stuff. No Mountain bike stuff there at all.

Park at Bike and Bean (or nearby) and start riding towards Bell Rock. You will find a freeway (they call it a trail) that leaves from the parking lot of Bell Rock. Follow it north (dodging all the foot traffic) and stay left, vearing west at the Templeton Trail off-ramp. Follow that awesome singletrack all the way down to Oak Creek (if it's warm enough take a dip and swing on rope swing) then ...
