Great feedback! When I weigh all the advice, reviews, people's experiences, yes, no & otherwise on the DUC 32, I don't think that's the right fork for me or the Titus El Guapo. It seems people: Totally love it/ Totally hate it & little in between... Perhaps great for slightly lighter/5.5" bike or a hardtail maybe? I hope this thread helps someone out, looking to make the right choice & not regret...

Whats the purpose of spending less on a used by if you have to replace all that stuff right away? Why not by a new bike. Jenson USA has a Jamis for 800 bucks brand new, that seems like the best deal at the moment. Dont forget when buying new even a Sette has a Warranty for 5 years when that Yeti even though its a fantastic bike has no warranty because you will be the second owner.

I decided to try clipless, just to see what it was all about, and I love em!
After the first couple of rides, and I got used to being more attached to the bike, the benefits far outweigh the costs. I can pedal harder and faster, and control the bike better on the ground and in the air.
Yeah, I crashed a couple of times during the learning process, but they weren't bad at all. A little ...

That is a huge stem. As far as stem length goes I teach that a 50mm - 80mm
stem provides the best body position and handling (given that your frame is
long enough). I always like to stress that I didn't invent the skills or
bike set info that I teach. Everything I teach I have learned (or thought
of and then solicited input on) from other riders and coaches including
World Champions Greg Minnaar ...

I run 30 psi front and 35 psi back both 2.35 useing a normal tire tubless. With a 2.1 I would run at least 35 psi personally since I am 180 lbs.
The sound of the nobs is common on hardpack or pavement and is just the nobs flexing some.

I have a Dialled Bikes Prince Albert with a 140mm fork. To me it feels great. The frame is designed for a 120-140mm fork. Per questioning Mike, the owner, the head angle is measured at 70 deg with sag involved (i.e. not at static height). The frame feels strong, good dampening, and not real heavy for what it is.

Thanx!
The forums are priceless for info & I need a stiff fork, capable enough for riding Downieville, Ca.
Figure a cut steerer tube on the Float 36 RC2 for a small EG frame might bring it to 4.6 lbs?

They could... but it's negligible. Your handlebars aren't like the dash board of your car.
