Perhaps not everyone realizes the terrible misery of this tragedy. Not only has a mother lost her very young daughter, but Marika must be suffering terribly for the realization that her daughter died just a few feet away from her, and she didn't know it or even realize that her daughter was in trouble. If only, if only, she must be thinking -- but she didn't know, she didn't see or hear anything, and now must be suffering...

Loving daughter of Marika Torok and Luis Mendez and loving sister to Emilio and Camila Mendez. Beloved granddaughter of Victoria and Alfonso Mendez of Carrollton, TX and Maria M. Torok of Greer, SC.
