Actually acccording to motorola procedure if you return a phone I BELIEVE 3 times for the same problem you can get a different phone. My suggestion depending on how serious you are about your phones is either get an unlocked nextel or switch
service providers entirely. I had an i776 and a few other boost phones and quickly decided boost isn't right for me....

change your
usb connection in your phone menu to "memory card access". Then connect and you should see another drive letter in windows explorer

Return it or mod it. Your phones messed up(obvious). One shot in the dark which worked when I fixed my sisters phone if you have the usb run the update program they have here in the downloads section. She had the same problem.

The phone supports bluetooth transfer of pictures (up to 200Kb in size) - see the manual. So your computer needs bluetooth. I have seen others claim that a standard
USB cable with a mini connector for the phone on end will work, but you have to go into usb settings on phone and change from modem to memory card. I have not seen this menu option, so I don't know if it is there or not, and ...

get a 3.5mm adapter for your phone (ebay ~ $3) and a 3-6 foot 3.5mm male to male stereo cable. plug one end of the cable to your phone and the other end to your audio input on the pc then use soundrec to record the audio on your pc as you play it back.

Its been awhile but the transmitters settings is either menu/settings/advanced/transmitters on-off or its in the hidden settings access this by pushing # * menu right
