I dealt with them for three hours a couple of weeks ago trying to erase the old webbrowser icon out of my w490 so that I could use that and my karma with AT&T and they said they couldn't do anything. I ended up having to mod it myself to get the problem taken care of.

Yaay..latest version of iDen Phonebook Manager worked on my i9 (nextel). I also found that even though the 'Test' mode under Options said it failed to communicate, once I chose to Edit phonebook it worked fine anyway.Phonebook backup was the biggest issue to me since I have no problem using usb adapter for SD card? to transfer music from PC. I will look at the Media Pal software later for music,ringtones,etc since that is another...

Did you try putting the zero at the beginning? 01234 and not 12340?

When I mailed my phone away to be fixed that was my only phone too. And when I got my phone back and it still didn't work I was ******. I called motorola and all they would do was tell me to send it back I said no.So I had to take it back to where I bought it and they didn't want to do anything either, but I didn't leave there till I had a new phone.

I looked in the manual, but could could not find anything related to setting USB Connection.? I also don't have any such applet in my phone menu.? I found out from a recent Motorola support call that my i580 is old stock, even though I just got it in October.? Apparently, my phone has what's called a CE Bus connector, rather than a mini-USB, which Motorola has more recently begun using as a standard.? All the newer i580's use...

Thank you for responding.? I took the phone back to Best Buy and they replaced it since Motorola wouldn't do anything. I was on the phone with Motorola and the lady said, "sorry I can't help you and don't know what to tell you."? And now the new phone works perfect.? So, thanks to Best Buy, I have a phone that works, but no thanks to Motorola.

Return it or mod it. Your phones messed up(obvious). One shot in the dark which worked when I fixed my sisters phone if you have the usb run the update program they have here in the downloads section. She had the same problem.

Actually acccording to motorola procedure if you return a phone I BELIEVE 3 times for the same problem you can get a different phone. My suggestion depending on how serious you are about your phones is either get an unlocked nextel or switch service providers entirely. I had an i776 and a few other boost phones and quickly decided boost isn't right for me....

The phone supports bluetooth transfer of pictures (up to 200Kb in size) - see the manual. So your computer needs bluetooth. I have seen others claim that a standard USB cable with a mini connector for the phone on end will work, but you have to go into usb settings on phone and change from modem to memory card. I have not seen this menu option, so I don't know if it is there or not, and ...

change your usb connection in your phone menu to "memory card access".  Then connect and you should see another drive letter in windows explorer

get a 3.5mm adapter for your phone (ebay ~ $3) and a 3-6 foot 3.5mm male to male stereo cable. plug one end of the cable to your phone and the other end to your audio input on the pc then use soundrec to record the audio on your pc as you play it back.

Its been awhile but the transmitters settings is either menu/settings/advanced/transmitters on-off or its in the hidden settings access this by pushing # * menu right
