Rode the literbike yesterday for the first time in months, though the wet roads kept me off the tree covered twisties. Not much fun, to be honest, on the "main" roads packed with holiday traffic. Rode to a winery in Carneros that also houses the Olive Press to buy some uber good hand pressed olive oils as gifts. To make the return run more interesting I jumped on the freeway (US101 from ...

If that is a cop hang out I ...

Even a momentary distraction can have dire consequences in heavy urban traffic, as you discovered. Luckily for me, I've never had my "muscle memory" braking reaction favor the rear brake...unless I'm riding in the rain. I used to work for a graphic design/production firm. The owner used a local independent TAXI driver for local deliveries. Why not approach a few small businesses that might need (small) stuff carried around - law/tax firms, grahics/sign companies (for taking proofs, etc to customer). Set up an appointment.
