Hi, I bought this bike used just about a month ago. It had 5800 miles then and now 6000 miles. When I was going from first to second the bike just died as though someone turned the key off or hit the kill switch. It did start up right away and after that it seemed to run rough at times. I did put gas in recently, I only use premium, but had riddin about 50 miles on that tank. Any ideas? ...

I have never owned an air cooled anything except a 49cc pocket bike and lawn mowers. So this maybe a dumb question if i am in stop an go traffic or jam can i or should i leave the motor running? And how can i tell if it is getting too hot? Also because its aircooled does it get hotter than an liquid cooled? Are there any special considerations for an a/c? This is my fourth bike but first a/c ...

Hello, I'm having recent trouble with a gas leak which appears to be getting into the air filters and dripping from there. I also notice that it's coming from the exhaust as well, not at the tailpipe, but just before the muffler where the pipes connect near the footpegs. When the bike is cool, it's hard to start. I have to pull the choke & hold the throttle till it starts. Once warm, it will ...

Hey guys. I wanted to soften up the rear springs on my 2007 Virago, and the manual doesn't go too much into detail about how to do it. They just tell you to turn the bottom in a certain direction. That's it, pretty vague. I've tried it by hand and for the life of me, I cannot get the spring to rotate into the next notch over. Is there a certain tool or technique that I am missing out on here?

Took it to the local dealer for the 4400 mile check up. Come to find out I messed up the sprocket when I tightened up the chain. They ordered an original Yamaha sprocket. That was two weeks ago. They were told a couple of days ago it was on backorder and they ordered an after market Sprocket. Is this the penalty of buying a so called starter motorcycle. No parts available at the dealer? ...

I just traded in my ole 06 CBR 600RR for a 2008 Vstar 1100 custom and so far i love it now i am still in the breakin phase but my question is because the highways in idaho are 75 MPH is it safe to run it at that speed can the vtwin handle the rpms safely. This is my fourth bike and the three before all sport bikes and i could wind them up all day and not that i am looking for it to be like them...

There's an R6 for sale in my town for $3500 with 11k miles. I'm gonna try to look at it tonight, but I do have one question. I'm sure this year of bike was liquid cooled, but was this year bike also fuel injected? I'm also going to find out about the maintenance on this particular bike along with how the tires look and other issues of the same. I'm sure the bike has been ridden hard(er) ...

Does anyone know anything about this? Well, my bike is FZR600 sportbike, and there is no place to hang the bike up by the neck (no garage, no trees, ...). I also wanna lubricate the steering head bearings, so the neck has to be taken apart (meaning regular front wheel stand wouldn't work). I know on some bikes you can support it by the engine but I don't think it's a good idea on my bike,...

Well i pulled down the wiring and it looked frayed like the rear tire was rubbing it till it was just wire exposed. I jigled the wire and the tail lights came on for a second then they all ...
