A guy is bringing over a 1980 gs550e for me to look at and possible trade an old truck for, straight up. He told me it runs and everything works but it's rough around the edges. What model specific stuff should I be looking for that would be a deal breaker? I don't want to eat my hat for offering a straight trade if he's got a big old lemon.

I have a 2008 C90 that, according to the dealer, has a RPM flat spot between 58-65 mph which supposedly is normal. The bike runs smooth with no problems until it hits this mph range. The "flat spot" causes the bike to vibrate as if the engine is off balance and act as if it is starving for fuel. Anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions or solutions will be appreciated.

I am in Des Moines heading back to Sacramento from Maine.... I decided to stop and get a new rear tire for my 2007 c50 as its running thin (16000+ Miles on the original). Getting it tomorrow morning - brand begins w/"M" - can't remember name, but I am told its a good one. cost installed - about $200.... Right Price? Going to Struthers Brothers seem helpful.... comments? bob

Hi, I am new here. I have a 1982 Suzuki GS 650 G. I bought this bike in April this year. A couple of months ago, it started to have difficulty starting in the morning. I tried with and without the choke, with and without throttle. I would try to start in the morning but engine just keeps cranking only. I would wait an hour or so and try again, and it would start. Some mornings it ...

A'ighty -- bought this bike (2005 Suzy GS500F) maybe 3 weeks ago, and definitely think it's a good bike to start learning on... but some basic questions: 1) What RPM should I aim at shifting with? I know it *CAN* go up to 1000 RPMs, but it seems more natural to shift at ~3.5 or so, but it feels like it doesn't have a "boost of speed" when entering the highway -- so should I aim more for 5?...

Ladies and Gents, Had my first "whoops" with the parking break and the hill/street won ( doh!). How do I tighten the turn signals? (as they are rubber and pop out) -- my rear right tail light is loose/dangles... and was wondering if there was a guide somewhere that I could follow... Thanks in advance! --Chris

ok i have had this bike for about a month and took it to a friend of my cousin that adjusted and resinked my carbs, and fixed my choke. so then i went off of this so called motor cycle mechanic that said my timming chain was loose and needed adjusted and attempted to adjust them myself with his instructions. this is what i have done so far i dropped the Lt side foot peg and then removed the...

Hello, Bike: 2007 Suzuki Bandit (aka GSF 650) ABS This is my first bike. I purchased it in 2008 (so i've had it for less than 5 months) and it has less than 2000km (1250 miles) on it. Here are a few concerns I have about the bike. First of all the fuel consumption is quite high. I am getting about 35-38mpg on average (I am doing a combination of city and highway driving, and ...

I am thinking of buying a B-king. I have a C50 now (the B-king would be in a year or two, after the C50 is paid off) and when I was watching TV the other night a Suzuki commercial came on and I saw a B-king for the first time. Does anyone here have any experience with one? I can't ride most sport bikes, due to my belly being too dang big to lay over the tank LOL but the B-king is a naked ...

went into a local dealer to check out an SV650. the 08 models on the floor had only the half fairing but I was told the lower fairing was an additional $600. what's really interesting is that the Suzuki website shows the 08 model with a full fairing. question is: this dealer trying to shaft me? is the full fairing an upgrade/option or does it come standard?

I was running my bike with petcock at "On" position and I have noticed that floor is flooded with excess gasoline. I have verified that the gas came from the tube that reserve for excess gasoline to escape. As I know, when petcock at "On" position, the gas will not come when the engine is not running, when the engine runs, the vacuum line is working which help to suck the gas down. When I ...

My first post and asking for help. I have been given a '72 and a '73 Suzuki 750. The old story, they were running when parked; cosmetically tough with degraded rubber, faded paint, or cheap paint over the top of the faded paint, gas left in the tanks, and some rust while they sat outside under leaky tarps for 10 years. The good points, they look complete. And I used to have one in the...
