Kawasaki 550GPZ 82-83, What fits
Found a decent deal for a Kawasaki 550GPZ 1983, and 1983. I was wondering the parts for these models are close enough related to be interchangeable.
Both bikes haven't been started in some time, and it might make sense
spare parts, but what is the point if none them fit ...

You may have fried the wiring jumping it from a car. Even though the car
was off, it could have still pumped too much
amperage through your bike's
electronics.

i'm going to BET that the speedo is driven off the front wheel like my bike. most later models derive the speed and rpm from the transmission/output shaft on newer
sport bikes though.
i'd say if you spent 100 bucks on it you got robbed, and if you spent 50 it was fair. do some research on it and i'm sure you'll find what i said to be more than likely in line with the outcome

You will probably have to run naked for a while till OEM stuff starts showing up for sell. With new bikes...its new parts or wait unfortunately.
Or if they arent too badly damaged...repair the existing ones.
