Ok, so here's the deal. I am a Harley guy, have been for the past 20 years. Last year I am stopped at a rest area and this guy rolls up on the coolest bike I've ever seen...it's the R1200GS Adventure loaded to the gills with boxes etc. you get the picture. Out of nowhere I start to drool over this thing. This was not a reaction that I expected as I love my bike and I have loved the Harley "...

I have recently bought a BMW R1200C 1999 model. I am hearing a rattle from the right muffler. If anyone could advise me on what the cause could be, and how it could be fixed that would be great. I am also considering changing the exhaust system, to something that flows better and has a better note. Would anyone have any suggestions.

As a owner of the BMW R1200GS, I am very impressed with the handling and power this motorcycle provides. In addition, features like the on-board computer, heated grips and adjustable windshield make this motorcycle a pleasure to ride. However, as great as this motorcycle is..... there are still things about this motorcycle that I feel could be improved. My biggest gripe has to be the ...

Hey all. I have a silly question for you. Why did you all choose a BMW? I have always liked the sleek look and style of a BMW, but what was the deciding factor that made you buy one? I think they are very cool looking, but they are also pricey as far as I'm concerned! Just a friendly question!!

Here is a question for the smart brake people. My 2001 bmw 1150gs was tipped over at a slow speed (2) mph bit hit hard. Now the abs lights flash alternately and the abs does not engage. The battery is new and charged and there is longer than 1 second between ignition and startup, which are both required to not have lights flashing. Both lights are supposed to flash at the same time and then ...

Hey guys. So, as per my introduction on the forum, I'm the proud owner of a '73 r75/5 (dunno WB yet). It's been a daily rider in Nevada for a long time, and owned by a v. careful guy. However, he changed over a lot of parts for touring. Windshield, sissy bar, rack in the back, huge seat, high bars. I'm interested in restoring it to the original look. Euro bars, no windshield, stock ...

Why don't we as BMW owner show the same pride of ownership that the big 4 of japan or hardley dangerous owners display with their logos everywhere, tshirts, stickers on their truck, logos on the back of their ridding jacket, ect ect?

Urals are basically BMW clones from early WWII. I have a friend who rides one and he says it's fun, semi-unreliable, and it leaks oil, but he really likes it.
