Uh, if my twins stopped growing at 30 weeks then they'd have been born at 39 weeks at 2 pounds each. Instead, they were born at 6 pounds 6 ounces and 7 pounds 6 ounces. That just doesn't even make sense. But, of course, there is a TON of bad information on multiple gestation out there. A well researched book is Expecting twins, triplets, and quads by Barbara Luke. I would really encourage your friend to continue her research; looking...

If you feel strongly then you should definitely get another u/s. For me, I had no symptoms at all (which was the same with my other pregnancies, no m/s, tender bbs, nothing). The only clue I had at all was that I was bigger than normal and so many people told me that it was just because this is my third pregnancy. I'm glad they checked your tubes. No worries then. I wish I had advice on the preparation. I'm 29 1/2 weeks right now and...

You might be experiencing Pubic Symphysis Diastasis, in which case, it has no bearing on when you might go into labour. My OB wanted me to get any pubic pain checked out, so I went in when I got excruciating pressure and pain without contractractions, but it turned out to be PSD, which is uncomfortable but nothing to worry about. It was painful off and on until shortly after the babies were born. By 36 weeks, you are less likely to have the...

Then laying down tonight I got kicks at the same time, one wayyy low, about an inch to the right of the top of my public bone and one about a half inch above and an inch to the left of my belly button! I thought...no way that at just over 17 weeks my...

for sure! i felt like my pubic bone was splitting in half very early in the twin pregnancy... my midwife recommended a belt at the time - and i am a massage therapist so would just work on the areas that felt most tender for some relief.

So... my water broke around 8:30pm on December 2nd. Since we knew both babies were transvers, it wsa right to the hospital for a c-section. Baby A, Sarah was born at 11:44. She was 6lb 5oz and 19". Baby B, Benjamin was born at 11:48. He was 6lb 11oz and 20". He spent some time in the NICU for fluid in the lungs and lack of eating (used a feeding tube for a bit). We are all home ...

FWIW - I had some movement but nothing consistent at 20 weeks. I did feel them early, but not regularly until further along. That said, you're right, mono's are a different issue. Try not to drive yourself crazy with worry. You need a doctor who you can trust to give informed answers. Can you call your peri? Switch OBs? Go in for an u/s? Good luck and best holiday wishes!

Sleeping Towards End of Pregnancy? How did you get comfortable enough to sleep during the end of your multiple pregancy? I have no advice. But have you searched info about the girl that is referred to as *mermaid girl* she had this condition, and unfortunately passed away recently at 10 years old. I was showing to strangers at 7 weeks! Since we don't like to tell that early it was quite frustrating. And I got huge FAST! This was after having two pregnancies where I didn't show until after the 20-week ultrasound. I should have guessed. But, all bodies are different. I imagine how much you show really depends more on your body type and weight gain (though I hadn't gained but a few ...

You'll find that many will chime in here. You may even be able to search posts that talk about this. A few here have had a twin "hide". I, on the other hand, had no clue. I found out at the 20-week u/s. But, I want to encourage you to talk to your dr further about the possibility of ectopic. I'm surprised that they didn't even check. One of my good friends had an ectopic twin and was ...

I am not experienced with this, but I am 36 wks 5 days and had something like that off and on all night on Tuesday night. I was feeling really pathetic in the morning and was inclined to stay in bed and whimper. But I dragged myself out to the shower and ate breakfast. It helped with the generally feeling awful, though I still have so much pressure in my pelvic area. I had an ...

Oh man, I'm so sorry! YAY for healthy boys though!!! I'm really hoping you can carry them close to term safely. I know zero about momo twins so I'll let someone else chime in about ideas on what you can/should do. I've seen the momo support site online referenced before so many dig in there and see what you can find.

With my two singletons I never had a pregnancy complaint until a week or two before birth. And I carry low, in my pelvis, it just wasn't a big deal. But I am experiencing what you're talking about. I just can't remember how soon it started. Definitely not 17 weeks, as at that point I didn't know it was twins and had no indication, but I'm going to say sometime in the last few weeks. ...
