Could you just count two weeks back from your day of ovulation and punch that in as your LMP? That's what I did, because I ovulated closer to three weeks after LMP and when they calculate how far along you are it seems they assume a 28-day cycle w/ovulation on day 14.

I wouldn't be worried either. I think personally you thought the chicken smelled icky because you are pregnant. Sounds like you know how to handle food properly.

I do psyllium husks/ fiber in water every night before bed, and when things are really bad I make one of my fibrous shakes - which sound gross but actually taste great - 1-2 apples or pears, 1 orange or some lemon juice, 1 banana, 4-5 big leaves of collard greens, with some water, all blended in the blender. A big glass of that and the next morning it's all go!

Why isn't it sleeping more? Ugh, my stomach rock & rolls like an ocean. I think it has reached every corner of my uterus with it's active little hands and feet. I'm really surprised I don't have any bruises on the outside of my stomach! Well, at least it won't be much longer, if that ultrasound is right! Only one month to go. And actually, I'll be 37 weeks in 2 weeks, so I guess it could be any time after...

I had my cervix stretched but not membranes ruptured this week but my ob did so w/permission since I'm facing an induction due to pre-e on Monday. I do wish they all asked for permission though.

I guess that technically it is possible to "stretch" without "stripping" or "sweeping" the membrains, but it sounds fishy to me. I would be VERY upset.

I really appreciate all of the encouragement so much. Last night I ended up not being able to stave off the hormonal breakdown when dh got home but he was great and luckily ds had fallen asleep early. We had time to talk about everything and I think maybe it is a mistake on my part to try to always hold it together so well and to always fight back tears if they are there. It felt like such a relief to just cry and say everything out loud. And...

Thanks for the response! I definitely need to focus more on nutrition rather than weight. I think everything will be fine if I can get do that.

So, looks like bedside manners aren't practiced very well in Hong Kong. Was there maybe a language barrier that made this slightly more difficult?
I'm not trying to excuse her behavior at all, it's just I have done my pre-natal appointments in Sweden, and Friday when we will move to France they will continue there until I give birth. Different countries have different ways of treating ...

There's a lady on another forum I'm on that reaches out and grabs the boob of the person who rubs her belly, then when they look shocked, she says, "So how does it feel to be inappropriately touched?" I would NEVER have the guts to do that, but I think it's hilarious!

I am 39 weeks and have been really thirsty my entire pregnancy. No matter how much I drink or what I drink I can't get it quenched. Some times it is so bad it almost reduces me to tears. My midwives said to just keep drinking so that's what I've been doing.

No, fifteen weeks is not that late for your first appointment. I remember with my first pg, I called the midwife as soon as I knew and was disappointed that they wouldn't schedule me for so long. I don't remember how far along I was at the first appointment...I think that she ended up seeing me early because I had to go to the hospital for fever and dehydration. But I'm pretty sure it was toward ...

My baby was a bit shy at the 20 week ultrasound--she wasn't fully hiding but wasn't spread-eagled either. The tech said that she could say it was a girl with 98% certainty, and I've been calling the baby a "she" since I found out I was pregnant, so I sure hope that we're right. If not I hope my baby boy likes the color pink!

I changed my profile picture to a picture of the test and wrote, "is freaking out much less now than she was 6 weeks ago." LOL This was a very unexpected pregnancy.

Anything I find says, "no, you PROBABLY shouldn't" but there's no explanation as to why or what might happen if you DO have iv sedation . . . I need some real facts here! GRRRR.

You don't want to strain too hard or you can end up with another fun pregnancy symptom... hemorrhoids!
Make sure you are drinking lots of water and getting enough fruits & veggies. All the bran in the world likely won't help if you aren't getting enough of the others.

I take Rainbow Light Prenatal Petite (3 small vitamins a day versus 1 big vitamin a day). I have to take these ones b/c I have a hard time getting down the full size vitamin. I've been taking them through this whole pregnancy and I really like them

Yep, all our cheese is safe round about these parts. DH bought some brie earlier thinking he was safe to eat it all himself- because I'm not "supposed" to eat it... he thought wrong!

Not crazy in my book! Seems like this all falls under "avoiding large crowds and other sick people". It stinks that it's interrupting family holiday time , but I would also be very hard-pressed to take my pregnant self and a 2yo to be around others who have had swine flu within the past week.
My mom and I re-scheduled a visit a few weeks back because she came down with swine flu. She was ...

I didn't have much trouble with travel.
With DS1 (baby #1) I was doing Synchronized skating. We did a competition up in Canada when I hit like 36/37 weeks. I road in a car for about 10 hours each way with no issues. Except on the way there, we went through some rural areas of Canada and everything closed up about 6 or 7 pm and no place to stop and go potty.
With DS2 (baby #2) I ...

I'd ask for an emergency referral to a OB and have them evaluate the situation, with the aim of keeping the baby in there as long as possible. I'd also ask if steroid injections to help the baby's lungs would be appropriate.
Hope all is well.

Ummm...genetic testing is *optional* right? So what if you're child is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis? Is she assuming you would abort if there's a chance your kid could have it? Or maybe I'm not reading it right.

Hey mama, boy, do I hear you. Sounds pretty similar to my experience. I've come back down to a normal, slim weight (my "baby" is 1 1/2), but I feel so frustrated that I've had to look so unlike myself (my face fills out a lot) at the end of pregnancy and in the first 9 months or so after baby is born. And I've had the same thoughts as you about whether my high weight gain both times...
