You might try the cookingtf.com site. Lots of whole grains, and they do offer GF options. Here's the GF baking forum on their site.

I was thinking more of dairy as an addition to the family diet, that's why I was asking about your DD. I haven't had much motivation to consider adding kefir for my DD because no one else would tolerate it, I don't think, so that's the perspective I was coming from. lalalalalala about heavy metals in slow cookers, I so do not want to hear that. Dang, I really should look into it. And hey, I understand feeling lost, I'm...

I've never had much success with GF baking without the starches. I also think it makes it more frustrating when you're trying to make it resemble a non-GF item - it just doesn't work, mostly. I sub into my regular recipes too, but I've had more success with GF blogs and stuff, where the recipe was created from scratch to work with the fickleness of GF flours and stuff.

What do you think about turkey? It was somewhat accidental that DS's first food was chicken, but I think it worked well. Do you think DS3 is ready? My DS was decidedly not interested til just a bit shy of 8 months, but then he started screeching at me one night. Putting food in front of him before hadn't ended up with any appreciable amount getting in him but that night he chowed down (given ...

At what stage of life? At birth, DS was an olympic-level projectile vomiter during/after every meal. I cut out all milk, and 4 days later he was a happy camper. Eat a bite of "unknown" and 24 hours later he'd start vomiting again and wouldn't stop for another 4 days. Later when we thought he'd outgrown it, it just woke him up 10-12 times a night. Later when we thought he'd outgrown it,...

what causes midline defects?
Word on the street is that midline defects are caused by a deficiency of folate and vitamin A.
I've found plenty of things that point to high homocysteine, which could easily happen with folate deficiency. Where does the vitamin A link come in?
And while ...

It all depends on which pathways you're trying to open. You *could* try to do everything at once, but it might not be necessary and it would likely be pretty hard to stay on top of everything. Have you looked at the specific pathways for him?

My dd no longer has eczema (all the time). Her triggers were dairy, gluten, processed corn, egg, and soy, she also seems to get rashy easily from fragrances and essential oils, especially when fighting a virus or when she has been exposed to an allergen. She has one patch of eczema that I call her "signal" patch. It comes out when she is sick, but also it popped out this fall from mold...

I think you'll find useful information at this site (the link is direct to the page about blood and genetic testing, and it's shortcomings): http://www.celiacdiseasecenter.colum...05-Testing. htm .
Once there, you can navigate the other pages, one of which addresses the benefits of endoscopy and biopsy.

I guess my question is why does he have to have a "milk" other than breastmilk? It's not like soymilk has much fat in it and personally I don't see anything of value in rice milk. And soy is one of the top intolerances and one of the top allergies. What can he eat now? Are you just looking for something for him to drink? Bone broth (high in calcium and other nutrients), smoothies, ...

Have we had the salicylates conversation?
Both almonds and blueberries are very high in salicylates, and red bumpy faces are a really common symptom of sals overload.

For those of us who are clueless, could you please list things in the nightshade family? Or provide a link to a list?
The ones I remember off hand are: tomatoes, peppers, potatoes and eggplant. Am I missing any?
